"Hoyle is awesome and so is Josh. Great fun and great friends made. Do yourselves a favor. Come to to New Orleans and hang out at the Abbey. Bishop might bounce you if you're not careful though."
"Another one of my top 10 “dive” bars. Uneven bar, dusty webs, urns with ashes, and church windows on the ceiling!! What more could you ask? Our bartender Steve filled us in on all sorts of interesting facts. There are fourteen urns above the bar, they are of long time patrons( one actually a dog ). Some also have their picture too. One is no one knows who it is. A new bartender was working and some came in with a urn and said the gentleman wanted is urn to be there. She accent thinking he was a regular. His name is there but no one recognized it. 16oz Pabst and a shot of Jäegermeister for $5!! In the two short stays in NOLA been there 4 times. Always some interesting people and conversations. It has its following of regular locals. Love it! Will definitely go back when I can."
"This place is what every dive bar should be. By far the best in all of New Orleans. Great music, bartender skips all the trash music which is hilarious. Amazing prices, laughable entertainment. 10/10 recommend. Snowflakes beware. If you can’t handle a dive bar don’t come here."
"One of my favorite dive bars in town. Good juke box. Good staff and cheap drinks. It has been a classic for ages. It evokes the 90s for me, and that isn't a bad thing. Make sure you get a boilermaker! Worth your 5 bucks! You won't regret it!"
"Such an awesome little hole-in-the-wall bar away from the bustle of Bourbon. The fact that the created remains of 14 patrons and past employees are permanently interred should lend credence to how beloved it is. Definitely my new favorite spot in The French Quarter. 94 years and never closed a day!"
