"Phenominal! I drove from Arkansas to Shreveport for the sole purpose of trying some Cajin food for the first time in my Life. I could not have picked a better place! Food that is so good the flavors melt in your mouth! I really don't think anyplace else WILL EVER compare. Marilyn's Place had made a lifelong customer out of me. You are short-changing yourself if you don't eat here! Best food in town!"

"The Po Boy sandwiches are excellent, especially with their homemade remoulade sauce. Definitely a must try. The beignets are good but not as good as what you get in New Orleans. The jambalaya was just ok to me. The andouille sausage just breaks apart and doesn’t have much consistency to the texture. Service was great and friendly."

"I really liked this place. Great food with local plates. I ordered a gumbo something that had shrimps, sausage, fish soup served over a bed of rice which was actually quite good. The cashier/waiter girl was extremely nice, and so was the cook. They have a desert which I don't remember the name, but was like a french toast, but fried. That was good. I don't usually take photos, but for this one I had to take one. I agree with one of the comments that it should be considered as a diner, and a good one."

"The food made my taste buds dance, delicious!!! A kind man came around checking on tables several times, he even brought my son a freshly made biscuit!! Their biscuits are out of this world, not crumbly and not greasy. My daughter had their boudin sausage with biscuits and gravy, I wanted to drink the gravy it was so good. My entire family enjoyed their plates, will definitely try this place again if we're in the area. I don't remember how much eat plate was, but we spent $52 for all 4 us to eat."
