About the Business
Harper Park is a beautiful tourist attraction located at 3500 Southeast Southworth Drive in Port Orchard, Washington, United States. Managed by the Kitsap County Parks Department, Harper Park offers quality-of-life enhancing opportunities through the management of natural areas and specialized facilities. The park is dedicated to fostering community stewardship and providing an outstanding service-oriented environment for visitors.
One of the highlights of Harper Park is the Point No Point Park beach and shoreline repair project, which is currently underway. Phase 1 of the project, involving the importation of sand and rock materials to the north beach, has been completed successfully. Phase 2 of the project will focus on further improving the beach and shoreline, including adding additional material, planting native vegetation, and rebuilding the rock revetment wall in front of the lighthouse.
While Phase 2 work is pending permits, limited park access is available. The WDFW parking lot is open, with additional parking options nearby. Updates on the project can be found on the Kitsap County Parks Department website.
Another exciting addition to the area is the Stottlemeyer Trailhead Parking Lot at Port Gamble Forest Heritage Park. This spacious parking lot offers convenience and accessibility to visitors exploring the park's hiking trails and nature paths. The parking lot is designed with eco-friendly elements to preserve the natural beauty of the park.
Visitors are encouraged to check for trail closures due to ongoing forest thinning operations in the area. Kitsap County Parks is dedicated to preserving the natural environment while providing recreational opportunities for the community.
For more information on the various projects and updates, visitors can visit the Kitsap County Parks Department website or attend Parks Advisory Board meetings held regularly. Harper Park is a must-visit destination for outdoor enthusiasts seeking adventure and tranquility in a scenic natural setting.

Reviews
"The estuary shines at low tide for pedestrian use. Walk below the roadway for steady, clean ground. Higher tide or when the tide is halfway in is a good time for bird watching. Dogs appear to be allowed. Heads up, this place of anywhere else is absolutely the most critical to clean up dog messes!"
"We live nearby and it's the most amazing place. The people you run into are friendly and the dogs love to play and you have the ability and so grateful there's bags that you can pick up your dogs restroom break. I love this park as well as my dog does"
"The trail path is pretty short but its a peaceful place to be in nature all you hear is birds and waters running through."
"This park is amazing. We love to take our pups for walks and playing outdoor games in the field. Its always clean whenever we go."
"Beautiful simple park with a fenced in field (on 3 sides), a shelter with picnic tables and a stunning bit of wood with lovely trails winding through it and a little stream too! No bathrooms here. No playground. But a very lovely place to visit to kick a ball around, have a picnic, or to go for a leisurely stroll through the woods. Came here with a 3 year old, 13 year old and 15 year old. Fun was had by all. Visited again with 9, 11, and 13 year old kids. We had a blast! Explored the tiny creek a bit too."
