Toleak Point
About the Business
Toleak Point is a campground, lodging, and park located in Forks, Washington, United States. The institution offers a unique coastal hiking experience, with trails that follow natural land features along the shore. The ecosystem consists of coastal forest and ocean beach, providing opportunities to view bald eagles, seals, and grey whale migrations. The terrain varies from sandy beaches to rocky headlands, with overland trails and ladders to aid hikers in navigating certain sections. River crossings at Goodman and Mosquito Creeks can be challenging during heavy rain or high tides. Campsites are available at Third Beach, Scott's Creek, Toleak Point, and Mosquito Creek, with group size restrictions in place. The best season to visit is from May to October, with a distance of 17 miles from Third Beach Trailhead to Oil City Trailhead. It is important to practice Leave No Trace principles to protect the park's resources.

"At low tide the hike is mostly a flat beach walk. A few places where you need to use ropes or ladders to go up or down steep areas. Not suitable for small children but confident kids around 10 should be just fine. You can camp on the beach or just off it in the trees. Water can be an issue so just know ahead of time to bring enough or where to find it."
"Sick spot if you can make the hike! :)"
"Beautiful beach and amazing views. We went early in the season, March, and only saw 1 other person on the trail and had the beach to ourselves."
"Beautiful beach, campsites are on both the northern side of the point (more wooded sites and less wind), and south side of the pint (camping the beach, closest to the water source, more wind, incredible views). The tide pools at low tide are pretty good, we spent an hour walking around them. We hike the whole “wildcatter” or south coast trail, but it is a great spot to hike to, Camp a couple nights, and hike out of. Absolutely beautiful views of sea stacks."
"This was our stop for one night on the hike from La Push to Oil City. Being right on the beach means that even if the designated spots are full, you can just pitch your tent out on the sand (just be careful about the tides). That’s what we did, and it was quite something to be lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves and waking up to a low tide, aka a very different landscape than what was there the night before. The other great part about it being on the beach is that there’s plenty of driftwood for your campfire."
