He spent time playing with them and making sure they got good attention in addition to the necessities of survival. "First time using Pet Sitter Portland & was very satisfied with my experience with Joe! He watched my orange tabby cat Leo, and provided photos each visit which was twice a day for almost a week. My cat seemed to warm up to him and enjoy his company. He provided Leo with plenty of cuddles and affection while I was away. He also cleaned designated pet areas very well, so coming home from my trip I didn’t have to clean too much which was nice! I’m happy I was able to find someone in time & I’m happy it was Joe. Definitely will be booking with him again in the future :)"

"We were going out of the country last March and found Joseph through Rover. We had read through his glowing reviews and interviewed him before hiring him to stay overnight with our dog for a week. Prior to our trip, we had Joseph walk our dog a few times so they could get to know each other. We thought everything would be fine and it was until Joseph had a family emergency two days into our trip. It was serious, so we understood that he had important things to deal with and immediately canceled the overnight stays. He said that he could keep the daily routine, while being away up to 5.5 hrs during the day. However, being left overnight and not getting out to go potty before bedtime did not work with our dog’s routine. We immediately contacted a friend who rescued our dog around 10pm and found him crying because he had to relieve himself. We know that emergencies can happen, but we had left names/numbers of four people who lived nearby that could be contacted in the event of an emergency. For us, it was disappointing that Joseph didn’t contact any of them and left our dog alone overnight."

He walks my dog daily during the week and Toby (my goldendoodle) loves Joseph. I feel safe leaving my dog and cat in his care. Joseph provides detailed descriptions of walks with multiple pictures. For my cat he provides detailed description of the visits and great pictures. Joseph has been caring for my fur babies for the past 9 months and I am so thankful to have found him.
