"Very nice park and playground! Tons of cool trees, a fountain, mix of modern and old-school play structures, and lots of green space. My only gripe is that there’s no fence between the playground and busy 33rd Ave. Plus there’s a downward slope toward the street so not the safest."
"Great off leash area for your dogs. There are posted hours but most folks have dogs there off leash all day. They have picnic benches, a playground, tennis courts, a fountain you can play in, bathrooms - a seriously well equipped park. The paths around the park can get a bit crowded."
"This park was one of my childhood favorites. Recently updated high school campus has made for a better parking lot. There is also some street/neighborhood parking on the street closest to the playground and splash pad. During summer, the splash pad starts at 11am and runs till around 5pm. (Ramona themed to honor the children books set in Portland) The play structure is mostly in the shade for the entire day. There are a few picnic benches nearby too. Paved paths are convenient for strollers, bikes, and ease of walking. There are tennis courts, basketball hoops, and soccer fields too. There are nice shaded grassy slopes for play and relaxation too!"
"Nice semi-forested, multi use park adjacent to the now, under construction for 2 years, Grant High School. They'll be back in Fall 2019. Also, on the other NE side is Hollyrood - Bevery Cleary Grade School. Young kids can use their outdoor playground when school is not in session. Decent size dog park area but not fenced in. By NE soccer field in summer in between the 2 schools; just west in the dip area for fall/winter. Dogs and owners always friendly so far. Three more block large dip areas going west along upscale neighborhood till 33rd Ave. for picnic, frisbee, relaxing, etc. Summertime, the outdoor pool is open to the public as well as the 8 tennis courts just west of pool and east of dips. South of tennis courts is picnic benches, as well as, local auther Beaverly Cleary's Ramona characters bronze fountain that kids can run thru and play in with benches for caretakers to relax. Full, huge playground equipment, swings, merry-go-round, see-saws, etc. next to it on 33rd ave. side that has parking. On the other side of all that stuff above is the bowl where Grant plays football with the school's track surrounding the field. Botb are open for public use except when school needs it for games or practice. Park hours are 5 am to 10 pm. Decent size park for that close in with high school connection. Occadsional summer concerts, etc. And covered event area that can be reserved next to Hollyrood grade school."
"Easy free parking. Off leash dog area with consistently respectful owners. Clean restrooms. Water feature, splash area for tots. Playground with old school slide. 6 tennis courts in great shape with lights for night play. Soccer pitch with Nike turf. Public outdoor pool. Running track."
