"I sent an email to Whidbeytronics to request repair services for my Dell XPS 15 9560 laptop computer’s power-adapter port yesterday, Tuesday 2024/01/30, morning before Whidbeytronics opened. I got Whidbeytronics email address from their Facebook web page. Today, I made a phone call to Whidbeytronics, about ten minutes prior to their scheduled closing time, because Whidbeytronics failed to reply to my email. I had a conversation with the man who answered the telephone. He said that any email sent to them goes into a black hole and the only way that you should communicate with them is using the telephone or to go to the Whidbeytronics store in person. He said that Whidbeytronics does not use email because it is too impersonal and that 90% of its customers do not use email. That disappoints me because I have been using electronic communications since the mid-1980s and I have an intermittent speech impediment. As such, I expect all businesses, especially computer businesses like Whidbeytronics, to use email to communicate. He said that he was unsure whether Whidbeytronics could replace my Dell XPS 15 9560 Power-Adapter Port, which implies to me that Whidbeytronics does not have the expertise to fix Dell laptop computers. Reflecting on my experience with Whidbeytronics, as detailed in the preceding paragraphs, I am left feeling both disappointed and dissatisfied. Consequently, I have made the decision to refrain from conducting any business with Whidbeytronics."
"What an embarrassment of riches we have here in Freeland with this gem of a computer repair & store!! I was more than happy to pay them the modest sum of a couple hundred $ to fix a major BIOS issue I was having with my PC that was beyond my comprehension. They fixed it and it's been running flawlessly ever since. The issue was deep into the clock speeds, RAM details... stuff that your average "guy who knows about computers" might not understand. These people are experts. Not only that but I just called to see if they had a Thunderbolt cable in stock and got a mini-diagnostic session for free during our conversation. I can't imagine a similar store in Seattle giving me that much time out of their day for free."
"My Dell computer was performing poorly. Extremely slow to start up or to shift from application to another. Task Manager nearly always showed disc use near 100%. The guys quickly diagnosed problems with the hard drive. They replaced it within a day resolving the performance issues. I'm very pleased with their prompt, knowledgable service. Great to have such a good resource on Whidbey."
"It is one of the most helpful, attentive, customer service stores I have been in for a long time. The owners are both friendly and knowledgeable and it is always a fine experience to go in their store. I would always highly recommend them: their customer service is very rare these days."
