"We took our chocolate lab in on an urgent basis. She was seen quickly. All staff and providers were caring and took steps to make her comfortable. I also observed staff triage new arrivals in caring and urgent ways, which was impressive. We feel the final diagnosis of a slipped disc is accurate. The medication and instruction for after care, now have our girl feeling so much better. Highly recommend for your urgent care needs."
"Dr. Scott and his team saved my Nola’s life… and I cannot thank them enough! From my first call (where they actually answers my call in person!) they were 1st rate. They managed to get my girl in for a splenectomy, which was a critical operation given the mass which was detected a few days prior at my vet in seattle. Not only did they fit Nola in for her surgery the day after I called, they provided incredible and thoughtful care for my fur daughter which exceed all my hopes & expectations. After removing the mass and spleen, they sent for an oncology report which came back benign. Their quick work in removing this mass before it ruptured led to my 12 yr old girl being happy & healthy for the last 6 months and counting. So thank you Team OVS from the bottom of Nola and my heart!! Keep up the fantastic work!"
"Very patient, compassionate and friendly. From the time we walked in the door everyone was great. Dr Gustafson and his staff were very thorough in explaining the surgery and expected outcome.my almost 4 month old puppy broke his humerus bone in left front leg. It was very traumatic for Buddy and myself but Olympia Veterinary specialist took care of us as needed."

"They were very accommodating with us. We called at night to ask if what my pet was experiencing was actually an emergency or not and they were very helpful in confirming that we should bring her in. She got in very quick since it was the middle of the night and gave us updates on the situation as they learned more. Unfortunately, my pet had to be put to sleep. To that they were very accommodating as well. They let us look at the xrays and explained what to expect and answered all of our questions we had about our pets problem. They let us have a bunch of time before we had to put our cat down with no pressure to hurry up the process. They also did other small stuff. Usually they wait for the family to leave before removing the pet, but at our request they took her to the back before we left so we didn’t have to leave her in an empty room. They also got us clippers so we could grab some of her fur as a memory. Very compassionate group of people. I hope they can increase their amount of staff so that they have better ability to care for more animals as well as they do without being overwhelmed. They also sent a card with condolences and a seed packet to grow new life as a way to help cope which I found to be sweet. Anyway, great place and great staff, thanks for helping us through such a difficult time. Edit: Yes this place is pricey, and if your pet is NOT in an emergency situation then don’t go here. I felt super lucky to go when I could because all of this was happening on a weekend when every other vet was closed. Don’t come here and complain you are getting “scammed” when you have the option to go elsewhere. These people are open 24/7, 365, for your pet, everything is gonna cost extra as opposed to ones that are only open 5 days out of the week for about 8-10 hours. They have to cost more to compensate."
