"The 2 CO-OP locations carry different items as well as many of the same items. They were stocked surprisingly well during Covid and offered drive up pick up orders when you couldn’t shop in person. The bulk herbs and spices is one of my favorite things about both stores and the east side store has a salad and soup bar that is good as well. I love getting organic jicama or Japanese radishes but sadly they are usually only available at the east side store and that is not always the most convenient one for me even though I this closest to my house."
"Amazing market. I always thought it was like a farmers market but I was wrong. It's that and so much more. A salad bar. A sandwich bar. Specialty foods. Organic foods. Ice cream, desserts, organic frozen dinners, vegetables, some sundries, plants, seeds, fertilizers, AND an ATM that doesn't charge a service fee. Yes. That's what I said. Doesn't take that fee of usually $2.50-$3 that most Indy ATMs charge you. I say "this place is nice to shop at!""
"My go-to grocery store in Olympia. This was my first co-op when I joined in 2013, and remains at the top in terms of food quality, local sourcing, and nice people."
"Tiny powerhouse of a store! Always clean and well stocked. The listen to their customers. The entire staff is lovely, helpful and respectful of customers/members. They will order you something if they can get it and don't have it. Prices are reasonable."
"An alright place to buy good quality food Olympia food Co-op has great quality produce and is a cute well laid out store to shop in. However every time I have been to the co-op I have left feeling unwelcome. The staff do not seem to socialize with “new” customers, talk to each other about “co op gossip” and express visible frustration if you can’t remember the name of every single produce item you selected, or you are confused by their elaborate membership process. (Without which you have to pay a surcharge on all food purchased) If customers are required to memorize the names of all produce selected/ and the prices in the store require membership to be accurate it would be helpful if there was clear and visible signs about this near the entry/ around the store. It is very important to me to shop locally and support businesses who are doing good in our community, however I find the social discomfort so high in this store that I would rather avoid it."
