The Ruins at the Astor

"This venue is great if you think paying loads of money for a nearly condemned building makes you fancy. The only thing included is the decrepit building itself, no amenities for events are provided. You will need to provide your own furniture, bar, catering. No kitchen. You will also not be welcome to use the reserved venue parking when taking down your event, even after booking the building. Owner is aggressive and threatened to fight someone over a parking space. There are plenty of other abandoned buildings in the city that give the same atmosphere without the price tag."

"I am here often for events. The space is amazing. It is my understanding that the space was to be renovated but the cost would be exorbitant. I will say that is is very cold in The Ruins and the only heat is the fireplace. Proximity to Ft. George allowed for shared space in the Lovell Showroom. Great place for your next party. Hit up Niblack Events for event catering."

"We attended a wedding here this weekend. It was really pretty. The only downside is that it is freezing! The fire was finally able to be started at 7pm. That helped a lot."
