"Five star for beers and 3-4 stars on food. Staff is super friendly and love their patio. Balcony has great views of water. Lower level is best large area and puppy friendly. We love to stop here when we are in Astoria. Favorite local brewery with great dark beers."
"The downstairs restaurant gets busy but there are many tables. The beers on tap are some that you can only find here. Everything is good, but I especially like the stouts. Try the matroyska for a treat. The Basque cheesecake is not to be missed."
"Fort George Brewery is a contemporary brewery that as far as I can tell occupies parts of two buildings on two floors. The food was great and service was just as good. My only gripe and it is a small one is that I wish you could order pizza downstairs along with the rest of the food. In our case half of our party wanted what was on the menu downstairs and the other wanted what was on the menu upstairs. There was no problem ordering the pizza upstairs and bringing it down to go but I do wish there was a unified menu as the place feels like one big restaurant where the staff travels from one part to the other but the food does not."
"Visited Astoria today with the wife and our dog. Visited the Astoria Column just before noon and afterwards decided to head downtown for lunch. So, picked Fort George Brewery as it is dog friendly on the patios. The upstairs serves only pizza and the garden level has their standard pub menu. It was a simple order at the bar and get a number and they bring the food to you when it is ready. It was cold the day we visited but they had a fire going in a fire pit/box they had on the patio area. If you sat near it, you could get smoked out as the wind was kicking up from time to time. The food was good, I got a pepper burger and fries and my wife got a green salad with chicken. Both of us liked our food. She got a currant cider and thought it was excellent and I got a porter which was nice and light at 5% ABV. Great place and nice staff there."
"They have some excellent food to pick from at the bottom restaurant. However, if you are looking for their pizza, you will need to head upstairs. They keep these two places separated. We tried some fish and chips downstairs and then also got a pizza up stairs. Their hand tossed wood fires pizza was delicious and the fish and chips were not bad either. Definitely stop by here for a large selection of good beer and food."
