"What a great fun way to learn about history and get some exercise!!! Even my older out of shape self made it to the top!!!! You get to fly a balsa wood airplane if the top! How cool is that! We also saw several bald eagles and got to watch and hear them fly around. That was so cool! We went on a foggy day but it was still great! Go if you have any doubts just go!"

"Overall, a nice place to visit, with a great view of the Columbia River & Astoria. Inside the column is a spiral staircase where you climb to the top. On the top, you have a beautiful view of Astoria and the Columbia river. In the gift shop, you can buy wooden planes to throw from the top. Definitely would visit again."

"Nice spot to visit to get awesome views of Astoria and Columbia river. It costs five dollars for parking and parking pass is valid for the year. Spiral staircase to the top where you can get a 360 degree view from platform. Staircase is narrow so be careful when passing people going in other direction, has spots along the way to stop and catch your breath as well as letting other pass by. Mural painted on outside of column is beautifully done and wraps all around the whole way up. Information/ gift shop available and worth visiting. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable."

"Stunning and absolutely gorgeous views! We did the short hike to Cathedral Tree that was fairly easy for the most part(highly recommend good walking shoes). Climbed the tower(164 steps) and it was worth the exercise. Amazing panoramic vista's!"
