School of Acrobatics and New Circus Arts
About the Business
Located at 674 South Orcas Street in Seattle, Washington, the School of Acrobatics and New Circus Arts is dedicated to improving the mental, emotional, and physical health of children of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities through the joyous creativity of acrobatics and circus arts. Our mission is to engage students in these unique art forms to promote overall well-being.
At SANCA, we respectfully acknowledge the original and current caretakers of the land, water, and air in the Seattle area, the Coast Salish people, and all of their ancestors and descendants. We also recognize the history of enslaved labor, contracted labor workers, migrations, and immigrant labor that have contributed to the growth of the region. It is our collective responsibility to honor, protect, and sustain this land and its Indigenous roots.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, SANCA is committed to providing youth scholarships to students from all economic backgrounds. We strive to make our programs accessible to all, regardless of financial barriers.
For those interested in learning more about the Indigenous history of the area, we provide resources such as the story of the North Wind Weir and a map by Native Land to help identify the Indigenous land you are on. Additionally, we encourage support for the Duwamish Tribe through donations to Real Rent Duwamish or purchases from the Duwamish Longhouse.

Join us at SANCA to explore the world of acrobatics and circus arts while supporting Indigenous communities and promoting overall well-being for all.

"How can you not love the warm, welcoming environment at SANCA?? My kiddo loves taking classes here, and has done so since before COVID. I'm thrilled that my kiddo loves class here so much, and we look forward to supporting this lovely space and its wonderful teachers and staff for many years to come."
"I've been going here for about 9 years now, all the coaches are amazing and have taught me and my siblings so much! I personally am focusing on trampoline along with my sister but, I know firsthand that all the classes are amazing! My current coach (Keller) is so nice, and I know a longtime/ former coach of mine(Jasmine)is also so amazing. They listen to you and teach you, along with being quite funny at times, and they'll make games to help you learn. I'm so grateful to get to go here and I definitely will from here on out!"
"My first time at the flying trapeze was an absolutely fun and incredibly safe experience, thanks to the expert coaches at SANCA. Highly recommended and will definitely come back!"
"I've been taking classes at SANCA for about a year and a half and have enjoyed the experience greatly. All the staff and instructors are friendly and knowledgeable and I find the environment to be extremely welcoming and inclusive for folks of all ages and backgrounds. I appreciate their dedication to covid safety as well."
"SANCA is an amazing place to play, learn and get in shape. The instructors are fantastic and they offer classes for all ages and skill levels. My wife and I have really enjoyed our aerial and circus classes. Try the two hour Intro to Circus class on a Sunday afternoon to find out what you like (It's also something fun to do with visiting family.)"
