"Interesting place to visit, really would be just a quick pit stop. I can’t see spending more than a half hour here. Some cool photo ops and interesting historical facts."
"This site features the ruins of the iron furnaces of Scranton. These powered the robber barons of old, fueled the building of sky scrapers, and connected the nation by rail. Here learn about this process and the people behind these efforts, both those covered in soot and those kings of industry that forged a nation."
"Beautiful site. I did not see bathrooms. Few stairs to areas."
"The Scranton Iron Furnaces is an interesting piece of Scranton's history! The site has several descriptive signs throughout to share aspects on how the furnaces were used in iron production. The location is not too far off from the local mall and parking is free. It sounds like there are many local events hosted on the grounds throughout the year."
"It's very easy to find but if you don't know what you're looking for you can drive right by it. When I took my kids it seemed as though they may have been setting up for an event. The inside of the Furnaces are not being kept up in my opinion and "stuff" was scattered inside so I couldn't even take my kids inside to look. Loved all the reading material that is placed around the building. We definitely learned a lot."
