"We started out feeding penguins fish! Bugs World... the insects were a hit with the boys. Viewing windows are kid height and insects easy to spy. Such a fascinating collection! The rain forest exhibit is so beautiful with the foliage and brightly colored birds and flowers. The Savannah, temperate rain forest, rhino, and orangutans were so good. There is conservation info and what is being done to help. The living places for the animals are natural to what would be in the wild. The carosel is something to be enjoyed also. It is beautifully restored."
"Very big fun zoo with a lot of animals to look at. Unfortunately when we went there were several that were hiding out sleeping and the bird feeding cage was closed. The penguins were cute and the giraffes were a hit with the family. This zoo is a nice contrast to the zoo at Point Defiance."
"We booked the wild lanterns display and it was definitely an experience I won’t forget. A lot of the exhibits took my breath away and the camera couldn’t capture the beauty of it. Parking was crazy because it was rush hour but it was worth the drive to get there and the worth the wait to get parking. I felt like I was a kid being all excited there!"
"I brought the kids here in October (10, 9 and 7 years old). We had a great time! We arrived at 11 and left when the park shut at 4pm. We had just enough time to see everything! There were people from the park in every section who answered the kids questions about the animals which was great! Good variety of animals although 2 of the sections were closed so we missed the Tigers and snow Tigers which my daughter had been looking forward to seeing."
