"Very interesting historical center that offers different events throughout the year and a free genealogy center upstairs. Great people and very positive environment!"
"Very nice Junteenth celebration. A different twist on giving information by using an intriguing display of quilts. Friendly vendors and fantastic music. Maybe next year a little more on the actual day to inform those who don't know all the facts about this special day. It was a fun afternoon!"
"This is a great place to learn not just about the local history, but how things got started from a cultural perspective. The art work was authentic, very captivating and very realistic. There is most definitely a “SPIRITUAL PRESENCE” that lives in this place, and it’s a good presence. It is still in a developmental stage but most definitely worth the time to go there and even stop by several times to see the progression! My family and I will DEFINITELY be back to see the end result and I would recommend this place to any and everyone, especially if you are looking for historical information. As was told during the tour, about 98% of people have some kind of ties to Aiken SC!"
"Very nice cultural center & venue space"
"Spent a weekend wandering around Aiken, SC looking at more history. This beautiful bldg is a work in progress, under construction currently. I did take a few outside pics just for my memories. The bldg was built in 1889 and is a history lesson in itself. The inside will be history of origin for African Americans and our heritage during the Civil Rights Movement. They do have a wonderful website with up to date information. I look forward to the opening!"
