"The staff, pharmacy techs and pharmacists at this pharmacy are amazingly kind and patient, doing an increasingly tough job with limited resources. I have used this pharmacy by choice for decades and continue to even in this tough time, with gratitude! My only comment is that people need to give them the kindness & understanding in return. You can make it easier on them and the people behind you in line with some appreciation!! Happy New Year."
"These people work so hard at a thankless job! Every time I go in there’s a long line and they are cranking people through as fast as they can, yet still take the time to talk to you and be caring even though they’re stressed and overworked. I’ve been helped by Kevin the pharmacist multiple times and he runs a tight ship. They always have my meds in stock, unlike pretty much every pharmacy I’ve ever worked with in Portland. All the technicians are swift and courteous, and have not had a bad experience in this place. And this is a particularly rough neighborhood to work in - I should know because I used to work at the FedEx which used to be across the street. Sketchy people and shoplifting galore! They’ve added a serious-looking security guard at every door (which I totally understand and appreciate), and even they are friendly and helpful. There’s some inherent inconveniences - lots of stuff is locked up (bathrooms, all the cosmetics) but that’s not their fault. I like this place so much I travel across town (from NE) for the superior service. Somebody give them a raise!"
"Used this pharmacy for about a year but 90% of the times I went there I walked away at least disappointed. Three times I went to pick up prescriptions that they had texted me were ready only to be told that they weren't ready. Multiple times I went in the day after the prescriptions were supposed to be ready to find that they weren't. The last straw was when I was going out of town and needed a refill. Supposed to be ready at 2:00 in the afternoon but when I went in at 5:00 pm they weren't. Stopped in on the way to the airport the next am to find that they had cancelled the refill because I didn't pick it up. It appears that the root of the problem is chronic understaffing. FIND A DIFFERENT PHARMACY."
"Often prescribed medications are not ready even after receiving an e mail saying they were. Good service for vaccines. Seems to be under stocked on diabetic essentials. Best we can expect these days. Too bad!"
"Can’t remember a single time in the past year my prescription was ready when it was supposed to be. It just sits in “in progress” status until I call to ask what’s going on and they ask when I want to come get it. I wanted to come get it at the time I was told to expect it, or reasonably soon after that, not 3 days later now that I have to call and complain. What’s going on here??? The staff are genuinely all nice people but this pharmacy is broken as a system. Edit: I added a star because after calling, the tech gave me some tips to help ensure I get my refills on time. I can only add one star because although the tech was great and super helpful, their advice to place the refill request a week in advance makes the app’s quoted turnaround time of 24 hours seem like a total joke. I feel so bad for the people working because they’re so nice and helpful, but Fred meyer is just setting them up for failure by telling people prescriptions will be ready in a day when the reality is that unless you call, it could be a week. Kroger, quit being so greedy. If it’s understaffed, staff it. If they need more machines, buy the machines. If they need more space, add some space. But this can’t go on in such a sorry state. Maybe everywhere else is the same, but if so, it doesn’t bode well for healthcare."
