"I really like the Safeway Pharmacy. I forgot the vaccine appointment I made. I walked in later and they were still able to help me. Great private room for getting shots. They also accept a lot of insurance that other stores don't."
"I love the fact that SAFEWAY is always available to the people. They always allow my CARE companion and I in, no problem. The people there are kind and curteous. Shout out to Mack. :)"
"I used the Safeway app (the new one) to fill a script that was about out. After three days of not hearing anything, I called the pharmacy and was told that they had sent a refill request to the doctor which after calling my doctor was not the case at all. The doctor called the script in that afternoon but wasn't filled until the following afternoon. The following day, I receive a text message saying that the remainder of the script was ready for pick up. When I arrived at the pharmacy to pick this script up, I was told that they had nothing for me, even after showing the text to the pharm. tech. I was told that I could return after their lunch break (a half hour later) to pick it up, a request I found to be absurd. Upon calling the pharmacist this morning to try to determine where this script was. Surprisingly, I was informed that I called the pharm tech a name and as a result, I'm now banned. In my world, when I make a mistake, I apologize and, if needed, assume accountability for my actions. However, I find it appalling that the pharmacy chose to deflect the issue by doing this. This is an ethics issue and I intend to file a formal complaint with the State Pharmacy Board.I concur with many of the other reviewers by advising against anyone considering this pharmacy."
"I don't normally leave bad reviews, but I must in case anyone is wondering if they should use this pharmacy. First: I have a skin condition, I need medication for it, repeatedly this pharmacy would ask very loudly where I'm putting this cream, and how much I'm using, without any care of volume or discretion. They once asked me several times if I needed a bag for an embarrassing label, to which I said yes to repeatedly, and I had to ask for a bag before leaving. They act like weird tyrants, and don't care about you, and the doctor is the one who doesn't know anything. Second: I have gotten medications filled there multiple times and each and every time they somehow lost, misplaced, or straight up could not find my insurance and I was put on their in house "discount card." The first time I had to pay out of pocket and thought my medication simply wasn't covered as they had told me over the counter. The next time I paid, I went home and looked up exactly what my insurance covered, called my doctor to verify, and made them pay me back, the very same teller that was paying me back seemed annoyed about the transaction like this happened a lot. Did this one time fix change anything? Nope, the very next time I went there they ouldn't find my insurance, on the discount card again. I asked why I was covered last time and not this time and she didn't know what to say to me. I just said I'm switching pharmacies. So when I go to the new pharmacy with all the same exact medication, guess what happens: No charge, simple transaction, no weird specific questions to make me uncomfortable, and I'm treated like a human being. Wild. Don't go here, I hope they get investigated for fraud they're likely committing by repeatedly "misplacing" insurance."
"This pharmacy is mostly person-centered. They’ve helped me a lot during some tough situations with my scripts. They’ve been extremely cool about accommodations I need for my disabilities. Recently I was on the phone with a pharmacist & she was able to recognize that I was having a medical emergency - I will always be grateful for this moment!! It was meaningful that she followed up on it too. Another person who works there has gone above and beyond with building bridges for me when I’ve faced significant barriers. It’s nice to have folks on your team who remember you’re a human being & not just a customer or a case file number. I appreciate this place."
