Safeway Pharmacy

"Called to ask about ensure coverage with my insurance. I'm a high risk pregnancy with issues keeping anything down. My ob wrote me a prescription. I tried to call the pharmacy all day today with no answer until now. The first time the guy hung up on me trying to transfer me "up front" without letting me explain anything. I'm unsure why he would even do that. Then I call back the gentleman cuts me off telling me my insurance doesn't cover it and when I asked if there were any other alternatives I could try he cuts me off mid sentence and doesn't even let me finish asking my question or any other questions I had. I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated. My husband has also tried to call last week for the same thing as I've been extremely unwell since contracting covid last month. When he got through to someone they put him on hold for 40 minutes then was disconnected."

"I went to the Safeway on young Highway pharmacy last week to get a flu shot to find out. I have to have an appointment. I try to make an appointment and they say it’s by appointment only online. I am visually impaired. So I made my appointment for this Friday I still in line for 40 minutes for them to tell me that they are not doing any more vaccines because they are short staffed And last week I still line for 35 minutes. This pharmacy sucks."

"Horrible experience. Pharmacy staff are disrespectful and impolite. I typically cannot get a prescription filled within 5 - 7 days after my Dr. sends the prescription. I have called to discuss my medications, but rarely does a staff member answer the phone. When someone does answer, they immediately say "Please Hold" and place me in the system that prompts me to give my name and info with a statement that a pharmacy staff member will return my call. They never do. I understand they are busy. So hire additional workers!"

"Dont think i will shop here. They sample cheese on a plater without a cover low to the ground so even children can slobber on it and i was gonna buy a can of coffee and last minute realized it had mold all over the rim i told the cashier i didn't want it anymore and told him where i got it so someone could get rid of the items. No apology for moldy drinks. I tried being polite because i know it's not the cashiers fault but come on. Fingers crossed the heath health department actually sees theses things next time."

"Horrible! Safeway pharmacy used to be great with great people, but now it's awful. I've been going there for 3 years and they've never expressed concern with my signature, but now they do? They verify my license then tell me my signature has to be perfect on their tiny signature pad? So a customer has to retry 10 times? No! It was never a problem before and shouldn't be now especially if they already verify your ID. Time to find a new pharmacy. Retrain your people specifically at the Lacey, WA on Yelm highway location."
