"My mom lived here for the past 3.5 years. Her neighbors were all lovely and helpful people. If you move here, odds are you will have great people as neighbors. Unfortunately, the crime reached a point where we had to move her out. Car theft. Car windows smashed. Home invasions during day and night. The Dobler management group were truly terrible to interact with. Not only did they do nothing to make the property safer, they didn’t even show an ounce of compassion for all my mom went through. It’s just so sad when property managers don’t do the right thing. Then at the very end, they mislead my mom about the terms of her lease and essentially manipulated her out of her security deposit. What a way to treat a responsible 76 year old tenant! We are happy my mom moved, and just felt it was important to warn folks about the bad management at this property. Wishing all her neighbors the best in staying happy and safe."

"My husband and I have lived at the Wickshire West For 8 years. Our 2 bedroom apartment is very large, with a lot of closets and storage. Most of the residents are so wonderful and helpful. The manager, Debbie, is friendly, helpful and practical in handling the many situations that come her way. (We give her 5 stars!) When we have needed a few repairs maintenance is prompt, and the job gets done! Yes, like most neighborhoods in Tacoma, this complex has experienced episodes of high crime. My husband and I have not, probably because we are vigilant about locking our cars and keeping our apartment secured. We have a dog that we regularly walk in our neighborhood that has beautiful sidewalks, except they sometimes are poopie because of the geese. I always feel safe while walking. Do I have any complaints? Yes, the hired yard crew could do a better job, in my opinion. And, as in anywhere where I have lived, we have a few neighbors that seem to have unhappy lives. But, for a 55+ complex, we highly recommend to all friendly and positive people looking for a place to live!"

"I have lived here for six or seven years and I have enjoyed it until recently when all the car, break-ins car vandalism threat threat, theft and vandalism of our mailboxes happens constantly. I’ve personally had my car broken into and had the whole steering column and starter business, ruined and torn out. Someone has tried to call Dobler constantly trying to get them to add a bunch of lights sort of help us because it’s one night they had five cars stolen and broken into. They had someone climb in the bedroom window when the lady Then they had someone climb over the inch the fence to the entry and run in people, sliding glass doors and steal their purses and Dobler will do nothing residence are starting to look and move out because it’s so unsafe. We have people breaking into our storage units pack From my front door personally We are all scared to death here"

"I am living here and every week Yes every week for 2 years a car is stolen or the ignition is ripped out and Dobler will not give us lights. Dober will not give us lights I said I would raise the money for a security guard and they said no no no"

"I have been here a year and have enjoyed it very much. The huge windows and wide sliding glass doors enhance this lovely apartment.The grounds are kept up very well and contacting the manager via email is a real advantage when a need arises. My dryer was an old one and was in need of repair but they replaced it with a new one very quickly. The maintenance man is reliable and well mannered.....a real plus in an apartment complex. I highly recommend Wickshire West."
