"our daughter started at 5Cs (capitol campus child care center) about 6 months ago and it is great. Low ratio of teachers to infants (1:3), it is a non-profit so can devote more resources to teacher pay resulting in low turnover and qualified teachers which are important factors in considering childcare centers. It gives priority to families who have at least one family member who works in the WA state government so that is one limiting factor but you do not have to work for that to get a spot for your child there."

"Our child was at 5c's for multiple years-- from the Toddler 2 room through pre-K. We had a wonderful experience. She has made lasting friends, we always felt she was safe in their care, and she adored her teaches. We really appreciated the daily communication with her teachers, information board, and monthly newsletters. I am very grateful for the time she spent at 5c's and the wonderful care she received. We also adore Parents Night Out where the kids (and siblings) go for evening care. The kids had a blast with crafts, dinner, and movie, while we got to have date night with very affordable and safe childcare."

"We were enrolled at 5C’s from January 2020 to September 2023. We went straight from 5C’s into kindergarten for both my boys. I feel that they have been prepared well for kindergarten thanks to the 5C’s teachers and leadership staff. My boys learned how a classroom functions and how to ask for help, and how to help others at 5C’s. The teachers care deeply for the children and it shows. My kids loved the quarterly date night event - Parents Nite Out, where the center stays open late and parents can go enjoy dinner and a movie. Another big plus to this childcare is Chef Amy! Chef Amy makes soups and casseroles each day, so you do not need to send your child with a lunch or snacks. My youngest son would celebrate Chef Amy’s meals and we loved looking at the monthly menu. If this is your first time having your child in a childcare be sure to ask questions, lead with gratitude and if possible be ready to help out (volunteer). Be ready to receive feedback and be ready for your child to have things to work on. Childcare can be a roller coaster, I am truly grateful to all the days and hours the caring 5C’s staff put in to help raise my children."

"Our child is now three, we’ve been at 5C’s full time since she was 10 months. Staff, faculty and Marianne, the director, have all been helpful and supportive of our child and us as parents. We love that 5C’s also looks for opportunities to win grants and engage outside resources with the school district and elsewhere so students, staff and families are all learning and growing. This is our second day care. We switched to 5C’s because of their structure and better communication with families. We’ve encouraged other friends to attend as well. Challenges we’ve experienced are things that most daycare appears to struggle with, like staff turnover."
