"Absolute nightmare!! No staff, received WRONG room code after paying bookin in full, could not get into my room. Spent 3 hours in cold rain. No lobby. No staff, no response, no one came to unlock box for room key. Had to find alternate reservation. Warning others to stay away. This ought to be outlawed."

"While this was a nice hotel, the marketing was misleading. On their website they say they have “deep roots in the community” and show photos of a courtyard full of people. When we arrived we found it very quiet and lifeless, and realized that there was nobody from hotel staff on site at all. I had hoped there would be at least someone at the front desk to tell us a little about the neighborhood, or someone we could contact with questions. Even to know that there was some staff on the premises at all would have been nice. The room was clean and comfortable, the AC worked well. We were given one thin blanket and a sheet, which was ok since it was hot. The garbage can was super tiny and already half full when we arrived, so we very quickly ran out of places to put our trash. With that being said, it served its function as a room to stay in while we explored Portland. I would probably choose to stay in an Airbnb if given the choice again."

"Fabulous! I really enjoyed my time here for the Freedom to Thrive 2023 Abolitionist convening. The rooms were comfy and spacious. I enjoyed the wall murals and the outdoor hangout spaces. The air conditioner was strong. The rooms were clean. Id just recommend they invest in softer sheets and supply an extra blanket. I did love having three large pillows."

"Tried to book a room here and over a week period of time calling to verify booking information, zero access to any human being. No one picks up their phones. Today I finally got through and it's not the hotel it's a remote call center that has no real tangible access or valid information. I ended up hanging up on the woman who was beyond unhelpful and have to wonder what dimwit manages this place because they are losing so much business with having zero real customer service. Then again this dimwit might not be so dim if the joint is just technically in service in order to launder money. Totally inept management."

"Clean room with cute decor in a fun little neighborhood. I was a little nervous about check-in after reading other reviews, but clear instructions were sent to me upon completing an online profile, communication with the hotel was easy, and the check-in process was straightforward. Everything was as expected upon our arrival. We had the king room closest to the street and MAX, which was noisy at times but not enough to disrupt our sleep. This is a pet-friendly hotel, so our room did have a slight febreeze/cover-up smell, but that's to be expected. Plenty of parking on the street behind the hotel and it was within walking distance from some tasty restaurants/cafes in the Kenton neighborhood. Would definitely recommend this to couples for a quick 1-3 night stay; any longer than that would be difficult with minimal amenities and staff on site."
