"This place has phenomenal long term rates. I believe I staid 7 days for around 450$ that's like 3 days for free!! They need to look into a better wifi system there. I couldnt get any support from the telephone number that was provided and online was cumbersome and confusing. It was a real bummer. They also had only 1 elevator for staff AND guests, making it a slow go between floors. My room had newly remodeled bathroom with tub/shower combo- very spacious. This may sound strange, but I also preffered their toilet seat to most other hotels. It felt like a large industrial sized one designed for bigger people. I'm pushing 6'4", so that was nice. It also had a mid sized fridgerator, microwave, stove top with two burners, large sink and dish washer in it's contemporary kitchenette. During my stay it was a bit loud at night. Clean room, and staff was friendly. Location was convenient. The price point is the real wow factor on this one! Overall I was very happy with my stay here and would recomend to anyone looking to save some money on longterm while not compromising some of the ammenities of home."
"This place looks reasonably upscale. Amenities are limited, there's coffee if the manager bothers to keep it full, there's a pair of vending machines, a limited exercise room and a coin/app powered laundry room. The rooms themselves are not particularly large. You get a tv and several built in furniture pieces. Your kitchenette consists of a double burner glass top stove (not induction), a microwave, dishwasher, and a fridge around 2/3rd the size of most normal apartment offerings. The Burners are arranged front to back, so they are very hard to use at the same time. The beds are queen beds and honestly are not comfortable. We had to go buy mattress toppers with 2 days of coming to be able to sleep properly. The bathroom is fine, and since we need an accessible room, it's better than most of them. Hot water will not run out. When we started staying here about a year ago (long story), things were better. In that time that have : made the available internet worse, started charging for the internet, replaced good staff younger people who aren't familiar with their job, gone through multiple managers, each of which seems worse than the one before. Our dishwasher was broken for weeks recently, and they did nothing but drag their feet about it. It needed to be replaced, they knew it, and they had the replacement already."
"Honestly , I was quite surprised by how fantastic their staff is. I've stayed at other Woodsprings across the country and had 2 star service but the staff here is 5 star , the community offers a lot of close experiences and the cleaners of the hotel is nice. But the icing on the cake has got to be the new peloton bikes. There fitness center makes it easy to keep my health in mind on my travels... October 17 update ..We have been here for a couple of months now..and today I came back to a wonderfully clean room. Now we are naturally tidy people my husband and I, but the small touches to detail in our housekeepers deep clean, really made it easy for me to smile and relax on my off day. And I truly believe they move in your space with integrity."
"My wife had to stay here for her new work place & this was pretty close for her. We (the rest of our family) stayed the weekend and thought, wow...she must really be going through some rough times to adjust, because not even 2 people can roll their luggage carts without running into a wall or something else! Staff seemed nice at times & also very stand offish at the same time! Not sure how they truly are or if it is a protection they put out for the people they deal with repeatedly?? It was a decent place to lay our heads, but definitely would be better off finding another place, especially one that will make sure to earn your businessnag"
"Never got a card key for my room. Stood around in the lobby trying to check in while the front desk staff and assistant manager were on the phone with various IT vendors trying to fix the internet. Apparently the computer had been smashed by an unruly patron the previous night, so everything was out of whack. They let me in my room and promised to deliver a key, but never did. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The neighborhood and gaggles of homeless people out front smoking God knows what was unsettling, but my car wasn't broken into over night, so that's a plus. Proximity to Walmart and other shopping was convenient to facilitate cooking in the room. Skimped on the toiletries and other in room items, probably for loss control - but at over $100 a night, you'd expect a bit less thrift. 95% of the patrons here seemed like migrant homeless people though, and not business travelers, which I found very odd and disconcerting. This is a newer property, but seems mismanaged given that it was after 5pm when I tried to check in, and they knew about the computer issue all day prior to that, and were just then trying to fix it? Made no sense in that respect. You'd think you'd want to resolve that problem before the afternoon / evening check in rush. Not a horrible experience, but unnerving in several ways. Will continue looking for what I've come to expect in decades of travel - and thus far - nothing in Vancouver meets those expectations."
