"I think this is the best hotel I've ever stayed at. You're not right in the middle of the city but it's just a drive right across the road to get there. Easy access to I-84. The outside, especially when you first go to check in, kind of reminds you of a roadside motel but the rooms (in the building that I stayed in at least that I know of) have been updated. Nice and modern, there's no gross carpet that's been there for forever, my room had a stove, microwave, full sized refrigerator, and stocked cabinets with the things you need to cook like pots and pans, plates, silverware, and glasses. Bed was super comfortable and the shower was very nice with great water pressure. Nice big windows with a great view of the Columbia River. The door has a cover over the peephole. And the grounds are very beautiful. Each building has its own little area of parking so you don't have to fight to find a spot to park. My only complaint was I had some noisy neighbors that slammed stuff around alot, but thats not the hotel's fault at all. I don't usually write super long reviews but I just wanted to brag on this place! If I ever come back to the Hood River area I will definitely be staying here!"

"Got our reservation through BringFido. It's hard to find rooms when you have a canine. The room was on the ground floor and looked out at the Columbia river, over the very well maintained grounds. It's also right next door to the Historic Columbia River Lodge, so you get to wander their grounds also. Would have given it 5 stars but the room was a bit dated and you could hear the freeway.
