"A nice, clean place. Room was nice and clean. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast place right next door was excellent. Totally worth the price compared to other hotels by the downtown area. Its walkable to downtown. Nice and quiet."

"An awful experience. There was nobody there when I arrived at 12:30. I came back an hour later and there was still nobody there. I called the office and was told I couldn’t check in until 4PM, despite being told via email that I would be able to check in at 3 at the latest. They didn’t even have anyone there to store my bags or provide me with a bathroom after a long drive. This inaccurate information meant I didn’t have anywhere to shower and get ready for the wedding I was attending, which forced me to stay elsewhere. I explained this but they charged me anyway and refused to refund me. They were also extremely rude. Exterior looked like an old, unpleasant motel and the spa / pool looked to be unusable. Do not waste your time with these people."

"Hotel is in a great location. I was originally assigned room 19, sheets were dirty, couch had stains and the windows were extremely dirty. I was reassigned to room 27, sheets were clean. TV and microwave were dirty. Nightstand had hair on it. Windows were dirty, one window was missing a screen. Room was luggage stand, would have been nice to have a chair. This is an iconic hotel, it would be great if it were kept up and cleaned up."

"Very friendly front desk help. We checked in to find the room clean and possibly recently remodeled. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom, while a little small for counter space, was clean and bright. I would definitely recommend and stay again in Hood River."

"We were surprised at how nice the rooms were-spacious and both a microwave and mini fridge. Nice view of the river. We always have lower expectations when booking a motel, but this was so clean and well kept. Plenty of towels and bed was comfy, room was also very big, which feels relaxing to not be cramped. Just for planning, there was no hairdryer, and if you get a2nd floor room, you will have to do steps. Would definitely stay here again."
