"Everything was fine, clean enough. The chalkboard paint on the door was a cool touch and loved the decor and the mural wall! It was pretty small, and the bathroom smelled of urine. It was also very damp and musty, but it’s the PNW… the TV was a nice size and the outside of the Jupiter Original was pretty, loved all the bamboo and the outdoor event center was nice. The ice machine downstairs was a little creepy. It would have been nice to have a small fridge, a microwave and coffee in the room! But all in all it was decent - I’d probably stay again."
"You get what you pay for - trust me, spend the extra money to stay NEXT door! From the moment I checked in the front desk person was cold and snippy with me. I have stayed at the Next many times and always had a great experience but this was not the case. The rooms at The Jupiter Original felt cheap and gross. The room had a musty smell to it as soon as I opened the door. I will say the linens seemed clean and they had mattress protectors which I appreciated. But the bed was not comfortable. The upgrades they have done there made it bearable but not enjoyable. The rooms are TINY - just enough room to shuffle around the bed. No place to put your stuff. And possibly the worst part is that you can hear EVERYTHING! People talking /walking / banging / etc in room above you and outside. There is a gap in the door where light and sound can easily pass. It just a harrrrrd NO for me. But again, you get what you pay for. Stay at the Next!"
"My husband and I recently stayed here when I power went out and we had a wonderful evening. We used their discount program with a local pizza place that we love and blasted the heat to warm our frozen bones. The room was small and sparse, but comfortable and welcoming. We had everything we needed to be plenty comfortable while we waited out the power outage at our home. The water pressure was a dream come true, the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. The only issue we had was the thinness of the walls. Outside of that, we had a wonderful stay! We are local so we don't often stay in hotels in the city in which we live, but we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting from out of town that wants a place easily located off of a main road, public transit, good coffee, and even better food!"
"My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Jupiter. We loved being able to walk or bus everywhere, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room wasn’t very big but had everything we needed and was very clean and well kept. We liked the blackboard door! The one thing we missed having was a small frig in the room to safely store leftovers from our dinners at the local restaurants. That is the only suggestion I have. I would stay here again, and hope to on my next visit."
