"I think leaving reviews is embarrassing however this place made my wife cry so surely you understand :’) My wife and I moved here from Florida and needed to get new plates. We came to this office twice and had wildly different experiences. Unfortunately, the second experience left an AWFUL taste in my mouth. It was bonkers. The first time I came the man all the way to the right helped me. He was a dream! He kindly answered my questions and even came out to my car after I left to give me the form I needed. After this I literally recommended this office to a coworker going through the same process. This morning I came to the office thinking I had all of my ducks in a row. The woman all the way to the left was unpleasant to begin with. I told her my situation and even apologized for the support I was needing which was definitely the wrong thing to do. She was immediately irritated!! I handed her my forms and she went through them and literally tossed them to the side with comments like “not sure what this is” or “why would you bring this?” Or “this is useless.” Part of me thought maybe she was being sarcastic or something because surely she couldn’t be this drama. Ultimately solving my problem was just expensive and I get it! My wife and I are both teachers and are saving to start a family. I wanted to be absolutely sure that paying nearly 2k was our only option. Again I apologized for wanting to be sure and asked if this was the right thing and that we were all sure this was the solution! Instead of answering my question she *literally* said “you’ve been here twice so obviously this has been explained to you by different people multiple times. I’m not sure what you’re looking for.” I totally understand having to explain something that you understand to a customer who doesn’t. It’s irritating but unfortunately part of life. So, we pay the money and leave. This may be potentially useless information but every single customer in the office was having the same conversation so clearly it’s just confusing. Like I said before, leaving a review feels so drama but she made my wife cry and I won’t let it go! Leaving a 2 star review because the guy who sits on the right was so kind and helpful and I hope if you come here you get to be helped by him."
"I had a more complex situation, and the first visit here completely set off a chain reaction of real life events that impacted me and my family. I came here at the end of September to register my vehicle. The problem was my dad is the only one on the title, and I am young and moving from a new state. I came with what I thought would be all the paperwork, and there aren't a lot of details online for this specific situation. Essentially I get laughed out of the office because you "can't register a vehicle you don't own". Ok, that totally makes sense. When I said I know I need to register the vehicle here because my insurance told me so since I'm driving the car, I was met with "that's fine, but you can't if you don't own it". She didn't help me at all and I left. I then called the general DOL and someone on the phone helped me with some paperwork. I went back again, and then I tried with that paperwork, and it still wasn't everything and I needed 3 more forms. In between each visit, many of these documents need wet signatures so I have to mail them back and forth from WA and the other state. I finally went back a third time, and they tried to give me problems but they couldn't deny I had jumped through all their hoops. Meanwhile, my dad's license was suspended because we had WA insurance that was on a car that wasn't registered here. We were also fined $150 because of the delay with the paperwork. If the lady had just properly helped me the first time, then none of that would have happened. So, next time you want to be pissy to someone registering their car for the first time, please reconsider."
"Came here to transfer a car title. Quite small inside so there’s a line that forms outside. My time spent here waiting and transaction was around 30 min. I was prepared with all my docs so pretty quick. They accept cash, check, and debit/card credits in which there’s a fee."
"I came here with a very unique situation involving a ten year old car and documentation from three different states. It wasn’t exactly straightforward but University License Agency did everything they could to help me out. They went above and beyond to get in touch with the state, confirm my information and help me get registered in an easy manner. This place will 100% advocate for you and get what you need done. I’m a Washington resident solely because of them!!"
