"Miranda and Kelly provided me with outstanding prenatal, childbirth, and postpartum care. My appointments never felt rushed, and they stayed by my side throughout a very long delivery. I truly believe I would have been urged to have a C-section if I'd had an OB tending to me during labor due to how long it took. If we weren't moving out of state, I'd be seeing them for all of my primary care and pregnancy-related needs for all future children!"
"Miranda at Anacortes Midwifery Care delivered my beautiful baby girl earlier this month at Island Hospital. She was compassionate, caring, and very knowledgeable. I was in labor throughout the night and she stayed at the hospital for when my baby girl decided to come in the morning. I highly recommend!"
"I couldn’t be more thrilled with Miranda and Kelly. This was my second pregnancy/birthing experience and first time with the help of a midwife. (I used a General Practitioner for my first) These were so kind, patient, and everything I was looking for. The facility is beautiful and welcoming. I highly recommend!"
"I initially wanted to leave a review the same week I delivered my sweet son, but I was hormonal, tired sleepless, so I decided to wait. This recommendation was important enough for me to want to write it with clear mind and though. I first met Miranda as a provider in 2019, I was pregnant after years of trying and I loved the idea of a midwife. Alas as soon as we met in person my pregnancy was over. I had suffered the first of multiple miscarriages. So when I’m Jan of 2021 I met with her again, you can imagine that it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows, Miranda was faced with a heartbroken, weary, doubtful mother to be who had no belief that this was the one we would finally get to keep. But Miranda offered something that I was lacking faith in facts. Our first meeting was spent talking over the science of late age pregnancy, risks, statistics but more importantly hope. As well as what had gone wrong in the past she discussed all that could go right, and for that to actualize, what steps needed taking. Miranda, ever the consummate professional, laid out a plan to minimize risk whist at every milestone celebrating with me the little victories, never once allowing me to leave her office without a head full of facts and a heart full of hope. She was never unrealistic, multiple losses don’t make for good odds, but compassion can go along way to healing a heart that had turned to stone and often it was she who was gladdened and optimistic at milestones while I contributed to wait for the bad news. Whenever I was worried or issues arose, Miranda was always on hand to steady me or provide the extra care I needed. She ensured I got to speak with additional professionals when required and held my hand through and fears or faithlessness I experienced. And then when the time finally came to bring this small human into the world, she worked tirelessly and advocated fully my needs and wants as far as my birth plan was concerned, even to the point of allowing my somewhat extended labor to progress as naturally as she was able (where as other providers might have attempted to hurry things along). As great sacrifice to her sleep schedule, my 58 hour labor resulted in my perfect darling son, born into her remarkable, capable hands and a salve to my wounded soul. Without her compassionate heart and competent hands, I know I would not have had such an extraordinary experience nor would I have overcome the paralyzing fears I had. Were I able to better articulate my colossal love and appreciation for Miranda, I would do so effusively, sadly I can only express my utmost and highest regards with this humble recommendation. She is remarkable. EJ and baby Possum"
"Miranda is a wonderfully compassionate and knowledgeable provider in caring for moms (dads too) and babies. Her office is beautifully set up to provide a cozy and home like environment. She led us through our pregnancy loss with empathy and sensitivity. So easy to get a hold of via call or text which was great for simple questions or concerns. Her practice is a truly great addition to Anacortes and I highly recommend her."
