"Great emergency staff. Got in to be seen in about 15 minutes. Took good care. Other hospitals in everett take 8 to 10 hours to be seen. I've been there to be seen it took 8 hours to get seen in a hallway. Then left me there with IV that's been done for 2hrs."
"Wonderful doctors, nurses, admin, and hospital overall. Every interaction we have had here has been outstanding. I gave birth here in April 2023, and had a wonderful experience with my nurses who assisted my midwife with a very long labor and delivery process. 2 months later, I had a health emergency and was admitted for several days and had surgery. My husband was deployed and I had my 2 month old son with me which is not an ideal situation! My fellow military spouses were able to help with my son during this time, but had they not, the hospital staff was extremely helpful and accommodating-- their friendly chaplain was ready to call upon volunteers from the community who were ready to jump in and help with my son if needed. I cannot thank the whole Island Health staff enough for their assistance during such a difficult time for me & our family! Fast forward several months, I'm now pregnant again with a high risk pregnancy and getting ready to move across the country in a few weeks. The OBGYN team has been willing to squeeze me into their busy schedule for all of my necessary appointments prior to us moving, and I am truly sad to leave. I wish I could deliver my next baby here too!! THANK YOU Island Health!!!!"
"I went to the ER due to severe pain in my stomach that was moving to my lower right side. Within a few hours we found out it was appendicitis so I had to get my appendix removed. All the staff and nurses were amazing, I was very nervous about everything because this was my first surgery and I rarely go to the doctors but they were very calming, sweet and reassuring. I stayed in a comfy room with constant attention to my pain and needs even though they were swamped with patients well worse off than me. They were very calming and walked me through everything. I was deathly afraid of surgery but my anesthesiologist was amazing and gave me stuff to mellow me out before the anesthesia. I was so surprised it's exactly how people describe, you get the anesthesia and two seconds later you black out for a millisecond and wake up done. I can't thank them enough for the care they gave me. Also if you've had bad experiences with needles they don't do that here, all the nurses are trained insanely well to the point where you don't even feel the needles. Thank you island hospital!"
"Each person in my family has had exceptional experiences at this hospital and with both of their primary care clinics. Even when we had to transition to different family doctors because our family doctor had left her practice, it was a smooth transition and very positive experience. I gave birth here three years ago and had a terrible time health-wise but the staff was so helpful and kind; despite the hardship the whole experience overall was great - I knew I was in good hands."
"I chopped my finger with a cleaver. All of the nurses and the X-ray tech were kind, quick and caring. Dr. Larssen and her student were wonderful! They stitched me up, listened to my concerns and I legitimately felt that they cared about me as a patient. She explained what she was going to do clearly, and explained my care plan moving forward in a clear and easily understandable manner even when I was in terrible pain. I felt listened to. There were other patients and I feel that they saw people in the order of their emergencies - someone was seen before me because he was really sick, I was seen before someone else because I was bleeding thru my towel. Best ER I’ve been to."
