"Switched to Dr. Greene with my almost 5 year old and were content (annual well check visits). Now have a 10 month old son and have been really disappointed with his care. He doesn't do circumcisions - no big deal but he seems judgmental with every visit in regards to it. I've ignored it. More recently I have been given information from him in direct conflict of what he has told me the appointment prior. I'm also not interested in his limited training in lactation. If I would have listened to him I would have tanked my milk supply by now. Finding a practitioner who does a better job of listening. I don't expect to be special and remembered but maybe take a look at the chart before you enter the room to review the prior visit. That's what I do with my patients in the ED and ICU. It helps."
"Unfortunately cannot speak to their quality of care; the scheduler was actively hostile to me about their lack of availability to establish care at any of their clinics. I’m not a proponent of the 1 star review life but wow, she was too mean and dismissive to even begin to enumerate. Hopefully you have found a provider you enjoy, if you’re new to the area or seeking a PCP, don’t even bother contacting this clinic."
"Poor communications, lack of follow through leave me looking for a new primary care. my experience has been particularly with Dr Eastman. Never felt like I was getting care to help me truly improve health just look for a new reason to write a new perscription that they wouldn't fill. I am definitely warning off those I know."
"I’ve never had issues with this place until my 9 month old daughter got sick this week. I’ve been going here since I got pregnant and loved everything about the place. I called on Tuesday (she got sick Monday night. 102.9 fever, threw up 3x in the span of an hour, inconsolable crying, congested and coughing) trying to get my daughter in to see her doctor. I was transferred to a nurse who told me on the phone as long as she still had wet diapers and her fever didn’t get up to 105 to just keep giving her Tylenol. I called back more than once because I knew something wasn’t right only to get the same answers. Today is Thursday, I took her into urgent care this morning and she has a bad upper respiratory infection that caused BOTH her ears to get infected. I’m glad now that I didn’t listen and took her in anyway, I’m angry though that I was brushed off by the nurses when she could have gone in and been diagnosed within 10 mins. It would have saved her a lot of pain. I called to make a follow up appointment for next week to make sure her ears are healing and the nurse this time told me “If she doesn’t have a fever now, we usually don’t follow up.” I had her make the appointment anyway."
"For the relatively short amount of time I was there before being moved to a more specialized hospital, I found absolutely no issues with the hospital staff in general. My doctor was Kathleen Garde. While I did have one rather severe issue with the fact that her definition and my definition of "acceptable levels pain the patient can handle and work through while being examined" were COMPLETELY different, and that "OW!!!!" meant to me, but not to her "Stop manipulating whatever you're currently touching, no matter how much you feel you need to move it to see more of it or further in past it", she was otherwise a very good doctor, very professional in both her behavior and work, and made sure I was otherwise as comfortable as possible while she was speaking to or examining me. She and her staff, as well as the resident surgical staff, were always quick and efficient in their work. The appointment schedulers were always willing to work with you to get around any time/date scheduling conflicts. The surgical staff always made sure I and whoever I was with understood anything we had question over for whatever procedure I was about to or had just completed having. Both they and Dr Garde's nurses were also very understanding of any pain I was in and did their level best to do whatever they could to deal with it, from something like a march down to the pharmacy to get me an immediate dose of better pain meds than the basic ibuprofen I had while waiting to be examined, to something as simple as a hot towel or heatpad to put on the leg muscle the surgeons has accidently overstretched while working on me. Overall, based on my brief experiences with Dr Garde and her staff, plus the surgical staff whose tender mercies I was put under at least twice before being moved to Providence, I would totally recommend this hospital as a viable option should you find yourself in need of one."
