"Ordered a custom sofa through Portland Furniture Company. Beautiful looking, but very poor quality. Within the first 6 months, springs collapsed, requiring me to rent a truck to bring the sofa back to Biltwell for repair. A few months later, the frame began to squeak loudly, and continues to do so. (And I weigh 160 lbs, so am not taxing the frame with my weight.) Now, 4 years later, the faux leather material on the seat cushion is falling apart. I brought these issues to Biltwell's attention; they have no response other than that the warranty has expired. (Despite the fact that the leatherette material was claimed to be tested to sustain more than tens of thousands of "rubs," and has come nowhere close to this limit.) I wanted to support a local Portland furniture manufacturer, but these guys just don't get it. The name is a misnomer; their products are definitely NOT built well. I recommend buying elsewhere."

The showroom has thousands on fabric samples to choose from. I took several home and choose my fabric. I ordered a living room sofa and family room sofa in different styles and colors. Although the sales associate said it would take 8 weeks, the 2 sofas were delivered in 6 weeks. I am very happy with my brand new sofas. I am a detailed oriented person and was impressed with the stitching detail on both the cushions and the pillows.
