"Been coming here for years. Fare priced & Honest and do the job right the first time. They gave me a free diagnoses when they ran out of time for the day and i needed my car back. If you have any Japanese Car this are the guys too take your car too, period. Plus I was talking too the mechanics, they love working there and happy that says a lot about the business and what type of service you'll get. ( P.S this is for the owner, need to find a way too keep people cars safe for over night drop offs in your parking area, maybe a timed automatic gate that locks & higher fence with razor wire)"
"I had called Matt's on Aurora for a quote on putting a new transmission in my vehicle. Guy on the phone was very friendly and professional. He said he'd get back to me that same day or maybe the next day with a quote and a plan. First day went by... 4:30pm rolled around second day and no call so I had to call them to get me quote. So that was disappointing. But what really bothered me was I went to pick my vehicle up and pay the following day. When I got in my vehicle all of my stuff was thrown all over. Cords pulled out of the stereo, radio cranked to almost full, the bag I use for trash had been dumped all over the floor, back window left open, and my belongings from the glove box were all over the floor. So basically the tech or whoever had a good time treating it like it was theirs and not a paying customers. I am very disappointed by this as it seems like a reflection of the work done there. A vehicle should be returned to a customer as it was handed off, if not in BETTER condition. Because of this experience I do not think I'll be back. Edit: I later noticed some things were missing from my truck. Pair of sunglasses and my truck’s repair manual. So what I think happened is these guys left my truck out unlocked on the lot, while somebody off the street got in to dig around. Nice job, guys thanks. Definitely never coming back."
"I recently had them diagnose an oil leak. The diagnosis came back that both the pressure line and return for the power steering was leaking and I was quoted $840 for the repair and charged $75 for the diagnosis. Thinking this was high I went to another of my favorite mechanics and was quoted $600 for the repair. So fine, I let them have the business. However, upon replacement of the lines it was discovered that it was misdiagnosed. It was the power steering pump itself that was leaking, so add another $400 to the bill to replace that and we're finished. I'm mainly writing this to warn people that they are expensive and in my estimation now, possibly incompetent - at least concerning whatever technician serviced my car. It's my right to shop around and I now wished I had started with the other mechanic the entire time. I'd have saved around $500 total between an unnecessary repair I was told I needed and an apparently worthless inspection. If I'm trying to be glass half-full, the total bill of $1000 was only $160 ($176 considering tax) more than what I was quoted for the wrong repair at Matt's and who knows what they would have tried to add once they figured out the error. Actually it's more like only about $95 more considering the diagnosis fee. Still, I'd rather have kept the $500 and I don't think I'll be going back, which is a shame because I've always had pleasant experiences with the people."
"I started taking my vehicles to Matt’s as soon as I could drive and own them, prior to that all the family cars were taken there for 25 years or so. Matt and his employees are solid people to trust with your vehicles and they are great at going over everything they have worked on and or that they should work on. Things to be aware of is that they only do Japanese vehicles, they have two locations so don’t show up at the wrong one, and they wait times to get in are fairly long sometimes which shows the quality of the establishment. My only ever issue has been that I went in for a all around safety and reliability check to clear my truck for daily reliable commutes only for some critical stuff to break a few months later at a very In convenient time. Despite how great at their job everyone is they can’t see everything that needs to be fixed so you can’t find fault there, and when it was a question of checking their work they did it free of charge. 10/10 would recommend either of the locations. And will continue to take all my vehicles there as long as own Japanese cars."
"Was told they are good and reasonably priced. People are nice and friendly, but the price is not. They don't do multiple-point inspections with the oil changes so that's an extra $80 bucks to check your car. They also gave me a quote for a transmission fluid change of a bit below $300, where the dealership charges $150. When a place charges double what the dealership is charging, you know how expensive they are. Would not recommend them nor use them again."
