"I came by to order a Banh Mi or two and the lovely young lady behind the counter enthusiastically asked if it was for take out or to go. Being that it was a first time and taking out back to my hotel, I kindly let her know and asked for her suggestions on which banh mi. She immediately said the chicken which I went ahead and ordered along with the beef. And just in case that wasn’t enough I ordered a side of wings which again I asked what she recommended and almost like a secret she mentioned the Asian style (I hope that was correct or something like that) and I just ran with it. Being from out of state for a short term stay in the area I make these kinds of decisions while ordering in hopes of getting a gem of a meal. In short, the Banh Mi could have been better. A lot better. The overall marinade of the protein and flavor of the veggies was there but was a bit dull. Maybe it wasn’t as fresh. Maybe the flavor profile of most can’t handle an authentic style Banh Mi but being from California I learned what I have back home. The wings of if I might say were cooked well, but as for the sauce it had, it was just average. I guess it was just an over sauced wing that had an simple but interesting flavor (in a good way). I’d come back during the day time when it’s not the last hour to see if the food experience would improve. Also the young lady who I believe was maybe a red head or brunette was on point with service and respectfully easy on the eyes so keep her happy while she’s there."
"Came here because of the excellent reviews, but I’ve got to say, yikes, I must have come here on an off day. My partner and I walked in to the restaurant side. One of the menu screens was completely black. Expecting sandwiches but seeing none on the visa or menu, I asked if they still had bahn mi, to which the younger lady behind the counter said yes. I asked if they had a menu, she said no. Okay. So what sort DO you have? She listed them, and my husband ordered one. I wanted the “Chef Special,” which is a stew and on the visible part of the screen menu. She said they don’t have that. Okay. I ordered a sandwich as well. We tried to order milk boba teas (on the menu), but apparently they only have blended fruit boba available, so we skipped that. We sat down, and another family whose first language was not English came in to order. The lady behind the counter didn’t even mention that half the menu wasn’t even visible. When we got our sandwiches, the bread was warm, but they were mostly bread and shredded carrot with very little meat or flavor. We were disappointed, to say the least."
"The evening shift lady(girl) at register on 12/10 was totally horrible. No smile at customers, zero service mind. Probably she is a daughter of this restaurant owner who didn’t want to work on Sunday evening. Foods were ok but nothing special."
"Surprising find outside the major cities. Fun little joint with a mix of pool tables and what looks like a good joint for nightly events. The facilities was pretty clean until an aggressive fly kept trying to get to my food. I ordered a bo kho, chef's special. For the location, the food is decent but I like the soup texture a little thicker and the taste was not authentic enough for me. I enjoyed the carrot decor, the soft meat, and the bread was perfectly crunchy. The presentation looks great! Although the bowl looks small, it was a good size. Loved the little touches of the restaraunt decor. I knocked another star down because a bigger group that ordered after me got all their food served first, albeit sandwiches, and the server didn't offer me any water as a single customer. If I'm in the area again, I'll consider trying their drinks and sandwich."
"This place has a spacious place for seating at the restaurant and bar. They have large screen TVs if you care about sports. They also have pool tables at the bar. We sat at the dining room area, everyone else were seated at the bar. The grilled pork noodle bowl I ordered was okay, a little bland but good enough especially if you’re hungry. The Banh Mi my other half ordered was decent. The fried dumplings was a disappointment, but the crab Rangoon was delicious! I have high expectations before going in unfortunately when and if I go back I will probably just stick to ordering Banh Mi."
