"This is a restaurant with a chef who clearly knows how to cook, but with a rough location and staffing issues. I’ve eaten here three times in the last year, most recently the Friday after Valentine’s Day. Each time I’ve had a good overall meal, with some sort of issue that prevented it from being great. Most recently I had surf and turf and the food was excellent, but the pear ravioli pasta I ordered as an appetizer was not prepared as well as in last visits. That said, it was still a solid meal, just with lots of noise and clearly a harried waitress. The biggest issue I had was the noise in the restaurant which has been an issue each time I dined here. This should be an ideal location for a cozy date night, but the atmosphere feels more akin to rowdy locals drinking at the bar. I think the owners should consider carpeting or noise deadening on the ceiling to quiet the noise. They could probably use some additional staff too, but maybe most nights it’s not an issue. Additionally, parking is tough here. There is a lot adjacent to the restaurant but the gate closes at 8pm, so street parking is the only option for a late reservation. I’m disabled, and this means there is no accessible parking. This alone makes it hard to come here. All that said, I do enjoy the food at Gino’s and will likely be back, just on a lower key day."
"It was a rough night for the restaurant. We could tell they were understaffed but we’re still giving it their all. It was going pretty well until we got to our main course. My wife ordered risotto and what we received could only be described as fish and rice soup. There were some other issues, but that was the most glaring. Our drinks were amazing and so was our server. For that we might give it another try. But man, that was tough."
"We went for our anniversary. If it’s past sunset in the winter parking is a little limited. We had the baked Brie, Chilean Sea Bass, and the Diavlo pasta. All of the food was excellent! The pasta sauce had a lot of flavor, the sea bass was cooked well, and we both left happy! The only thing I was a little disappointed in was I put in the special occasion section that it was our anniversary and they didn’t acknowledge it to us during our visit. The servers looked a little frazzled and unsure of what was going on at each of the tables. But overall great food!"
"Ambiance did not match the good food. Bass fish was cooked very well. However, Christmas music blaring and a red faced bloke at the bar yelling over it. I felt like I was in an Applebee’s, but paying $50 for a meal. I requested a quiet table in the reservation notes as it was a date. Service was okay, the server tried to take my plate while I had not finished. I’d probably be back, the upstairs looks like a cool spot compared to downstairs."
"I had the Sea bass and it was perfect! Perfectly cooked, balanced, seasoned. The sauce had a hint of cinnamon. A bit of sea bass, grilled pineapple and the sauce was an amazing party my mouth! The server was fine just a bit detached and maybe too efficient.... Now I didn't see another actual server so it is very possible she just had to cover too many tables. Oh, and the blackberry cobbler was fantastic!"
