"This place is so cozy. The warm atmosphere, the hard-working employees who are making sure that customers are being tended to, food's being served, tables are getting wiped down, and the quality of the food is what sets them apart. I also received great service from my server, James. He is attentive and empathic. Today was a hard day, and his presence made my night better. I would also like to add that the staff here has been consistently wonderful. Aside from the food, they're the reason I keep coming back. This is one of my favorite spots in Washington. I highly recommend this location to dine out!"

"Black Bear Diner was a great restaurant, with only a few issues I could see. The wait was a bit long, but not bad. Staff seemed friendly. The food was excellent, no complaints there. Overall, this is a solid restaurant."

"Was at a business meeting. The private room was accommodating. Loved the American flag on the wall.. Enjoyed the pot roast. Excellent place to get comfort food. I didn't have dessert this time, but they are awesome."

"If you get a chance to go to this location, ask for Raul. He is a great hostess/server. Great attitude great personality, very attentive, and made me feel very welcomed.Before I left I seen them accommodate a party of eight including a baby. And I thought that was pretty awesome. It’s a very clean very calm diner.The other staff seem nice as well. The food was pretty good.the portions are big I have never been here before today. The biscuits are humongous. Take a look at the picture, but other than that. It was a really nice place great atmosphere and it’s literally in the same parking lot as the casino. That’s in Lakewood you have to look closely or you will miss the turn."
