"Food has always been good as well as management. I'm a long-time customer and have been coming for nearly 20 years, I can say with absolute certainty that this is one of my favorite mexican resteraunts of all time. Sitting in the back is lacking and can be dark. However, don't let that deter you from the good food, large portions, and great service."
"Our visit was last night, August 15, 2023 Lovely little restaurant in the middle of downtown Ridgefield, WA. Atmosphere was lovely--most walls were covered in vibrant murals of Mexican culture. (I'm not totally sure since I'm not Mexican) Service was fine, food arrived really quickly after ordering. I ordered a grande combination with a taco and 2 enchiladas. All ground beef. My friend ordered the fajitas. Food was good... nothing super spectacular, but good. We'd go back if we lived in Ridgefield."
"The food was good overall. I had the mediano plate. A chimichanga and challupa with ground beef. The fried flour shell on the challupa was soggy on the bottom where the beef soaked through it. Had to eat it with a fork. The chimichanga was ok, smallish, but no fillers like rice or beans. My wife had the fajitas with steak and corn tortillas. She liked them but they gave only 4 tortillas . You have to use 2 each time you build a fajita. So she asked for more. They brought only 2 more. The server didn't come and check on us often enough. We needed more napkins than the one we had when we were sat down. I wanted ice water and had to ask for it rather than being given it at the beginning. Also there was no ice in the water. Ok atmosphere, festive somewhat. I was expecting better overall based on the Google maps page and reviews."
"Salsa was super watered down with almost no flavor. The drink and Mexican beans were fine but my enchiladas were very plain and bland. The chicken enchilada was soft, moist, and shredded but barely warm and the cheese enchilada was just awful. It was if they threw a cold rotisserie chicken shreds in one side and pre-shredded bagged cheese in a tortilla, wrapped it up, warmed it in a microwave for 15 seconds, and added a little more shredded cheese and diced green onions on top, and said here you go! Whoever the cook is, needs to go to Plaza Jalisco in Kelso and learn what real enchiladas look like and taste like and get the proper training from the subject matter experts!"
