"First time going here and we really liked it! The place is clean and neat, it looks like the tables and chairs are new. The atmosphere was really chill. We ordered the halibut and fish/shrimp combos. Food was hot and good! It’s fried, but wasn’t overly oily or anything. It was awesome. The hush puppies were also really yummy. Employees are friendly and nice and attentive. Will be coming back!"
"Skippers is a dying franchise. Its so sad. It used to be hand filet and battered cod. I know. I worked there in the late 90's. Was so much better. Now it's mass frozen and shaped like a large fish stick. And it's Pollack instead of cod. It tastes ok. Just absolutely not the same. The clam strips, and shrimp still taste the same. So does the chowder and the tartar sauce. This Skippers is in a gas station. They were closing. And there was no way I could arrive in time. I'm a couple towns over. The lady took my order over the phone. And when I arrived it was in the fryer. And ready to pull out. So it was fryer hot! Very nice lady! Gave me extra tartar as I asked for. Though the fish still tastes like Skippers batter. The fish itself tastes like a big fish stick. Thats why the stars are down. But besides that, it's good Ole Skippers"
"It's a gas station with 3 restaurants in it. The serving size is crazy small. Skippers platter came with a tiny container of coke slaw that is usually used to out tarter sauce in it. 5 tiny shrimp, one small fish stick, lots of mediocre fries. Don't expect a nice place to sit and eat."
"I didnt expect much from a gas station skippers but it still dissapoited. Fish tasted like cheap frozen fish stick you get from the store. Clam chowder was not edible. Fries were pretty good. For $14 I was robbed but I thought I would give it a chance."
"This was so bad. My husband brought home class and fries. One bite from the fries and I had to spit it out. It tasted like the oil hadn't been changed in I don't know how long. They tasted like they had been cooked with everything including the kitchen sink. They were great when they first opened but have been going down hill ever since. The clams were over cooked and hard. The best part of the whole meal was the Cole slaw. This is sad because our town doesn't have that much to choose from. They truly need an over haul."
