"It was my first time calling and visiting this location due to a coolant message I got on my dashboard. When I called, Matt answered and he was so nice. He actually asked if it was ok if he placed me on hold while he helped another customer! How professional is that!!! When he got on the phone, he listened to what I was looking for and I said I’d see him shortly. When I walked in, he knew exactly who I was. He walked out to my car with me and showed me where the reservoir to the coolant was and gave me a 101 lesson on my so much needed car skills. He was so courteous, so polite and had a smile on his face the entire time. I know I’ve found my go to place for all my car needs moving forward."
"My car broke down in Sandy Christmas eve, the staff at their sandy location was very helpful however they only had one of (it turned out) the two parts we needed to get my car up and running. The cashier at the sandy location assured me that we would make it just in time before they closed at six. I had my husband call to make sure they had the part in stock and unfortunately we were told they were closing early, and would not be willing to stay the 13 minutes it would take us to arrive, all before the store actually closed. I understand wanting to get home for the holidays, I’ll never understand the lack of human decency and drive to help another out. Especially during the holidays. I can only assume children work here."
"A great big huge THANK YOU to Jake at O'Reilly in Gresham! Even though they were busy, he replaced my battery and faulty terminals, saving my dog and I from being stranded alongside the road. He was very friendly and personable, and we swapped stories about living in the same area of Clackamas County while he was doing the service. Note to O'Reilly: he is really a "keeper"."
"I was going to be nice about the rating until I read some other reviews. I did an online order. We waited over the hour mark, and my husband went in to get the stuff needed to work on our car. He was gone for a couple of hours, and the store is only about 10-15 mins away. When he arrived, one worker seemed to be messing around- helping someone but not trying to get stuff done, whistling, while other customers waited. No, I don't have a problem with enjoying your job, but when you have a backlog of customers, YOUR JOB is to get people serviced and out the door. The other worker was actually working. When he noticed my husband waiting, he asked how he could help. My husband explained the online order. The worker made a comment of someone not even looking at the order. So no printout is needed by the computer. There's nothing like that. Just that someone, I'm assuming Mr. Whistles, didn't check the online orders to get them ready. I can see I am not the only customer who had to deal with that. I've never had this issue before, and I suggest removing the online option to order if your employees choose to ignore it. You may save yourself from terrible ratings in the future. This is obvious due to the comment made by the ACTUAL worker and the reviews left by other customers. Your actual worker saved the store from getting a 1 star. I may change it in the future- but for now, it was a sore experience, and I'll take my business to AutoZone or another shop. EDIT: The store owner gave a very generic response to my review. You can see below. The number to contact was the corporate contact for customer service. I think that's a joke of a way to handle any customer dispute after being in the automotive industry myself. So, I did contact corporate, and now they get 1 star. I did not request a callback, but hopefully, the GM will see the terrible online order support, and this will be a learning experience NOT just for the worker who chose not to do his job productively but also the person in charge of responding to poor reviews. I'd rather you NOT reply if you think I should just use the general website to contact customer support. Swing and a miss Mr. Store owner."
