"The following is an example of how one bad experience can wipe out numerous good ones. Before today, had I been asked to review Batteries Plus, it would have been an easy 5/5 stars, hands down. I've been a customer for years and my experiences have been nothing but positive. That changed today at the Gresham Burnside store when I stopped in to buy a battery for my pickup. I brought along three additional old batteries to be tested. My intention was to leave with one new battery and one of the old ones, whichever one tested best, to keep as an emergency spare. After bringing them all in, the associate kept insisting that there was "no point" in testing the batteries due to their ages. After I explained what I was doing, he finally agreed but at seven dollars per test. That's when I hauled all my batteries back out to the pickup and went home. I'm not going to share the associate's name publicly but if the store manager or Batteries Plus would like more detail I would be happy to share an audio file of the entire interaction."

"Not my first time visiting a Batteries Plus, but my first time visiting this location. Wasn't sure if I needed a battery on my Outlander Sport. Decided to visit and was immediately greeted when I walked in and asked what I needed help with. They tested my battery to make sure, and it was toast! I was presented with a few options and offered premium install (trust me, it's worth it). It didn't take very long to have a new battery installed and it cost less than most chain car repair places. It has a three year warranty and cost a little over $200. I definitely think it's worth it. I feel kinda bad for the installer since I picked a hot day but it needed to be done, and I could determine if hot weather was indeed killing my battery. Definitely give them a visit! Even for just regular batteries or light bulbs. You'll be pleasantly surprised."

"I had a great experience at this store. I had never been to a Batteries Plus before but had seen them around so when I needed some specific lightbulbs for new lamps for my new apartment, I decided to stop in. I was greeted immediately upon entering and offered help. The employee helped me find the specific bulbs I needed and even offered a couple different options. The employee then asked if I needed any household batteries which was great as I hadn't even thought about it and it saved me an extra trip to a store later. My only complaint was that the prices were just slightly more than at other places for the batteries but it's more than made up for by the customer service. Overall would highly recommend this place if you need batteries or lightbulbs and I will be returning next time I need either."
