"I went mid day, mid week. 1 person working, waited a good while before 2nd staff member arrived. He was good, found frames I liked. Trying to pay was not good. The store only had price sheets in Spanish for him to use (he only spoke English) and the POS system wouldn't allow him to write up 4 pairs (I lose and break them, didn't want to mess around) only the BOGO offer they run, so it was literally easier to buy half as much as I wanted. 3 weeks later I was notified that my order was ready, so I went in after work on a Tues. Only 1 person working, 3 other customers already there. The staff person walked past me without acknowledging me, then greeted someone who walked in 5 minutes after me. I left. I still don't have my glasses but have already decided I will never shop here again. This is a really poorly run business. *Edit-I returned 2 days later shortly after 5 pm and was the only customer in the store and there were 2 staff members on the floor. I picked up my 2 pair of glasses and was in and out in 5 minutes. The products were as expected."
"The in-person eye doctor was really great. He did a prescription recheck for me and explained what I was seeing and why my prescription was correct. I was not a fan of the rest of my experience on either of my 2 visits. the employees were not very energetic or knowledgeable about the machines they were running or the cost and services of the store."
"I went to Staton Optical for the first and last time yesterday. I called asking a few questions regarding my insurance and I was told to provide my information so they would be able to match what my insurance can offer. When I arrived I was met with no customer service. I had to ask where to go and advocate for every step of the appointment. When I was handed the tablet to fill I asked if they needed my insurance information and I was told it would be handled later. Once I was called to be seen by the doctor I had no idea it would be done through zoom. There was no communication as to how the appointment would be handled. Which made things more difficult for myself since I had my child with me and she needed my help throughout the appointment. And there was no room for my questions, concerns, or history for my eyes. Besides the first three machines, no one else looked at my eyes or talked over my medical history! I have an autoimmune disease that can directly impact my eyes and no one followed up after I put it on my medical form before the appointment! It was negligence to my medical history and puts me in harm!! I then was handed the wrong prescription contacts more than once. I put them in and told them I was unable to see. I had to question the prescription a few times to advocate after I was brushed off to leave the trial pair in. They eventually handed me two different brand contacts and one of them still was not the correct prescription. Nor did they check if the contacts fit properly. Once I went to give information about my insurance they did not let me use my insurance with the provided information. I felt very uncared for and put at risk with my medical history. I am asking for the amount back that I paid for the appointment. For now I will have to go for another exam elsewhere to get a correct prescription."
"Stanton Optical at it's Finest! NOT!!!!!!! I would give a zero stars if I could. I've dealt with your East Wasington location employees 3 or 4 times now. Each time they prove to me that the customer means absolutely nothing to Stanton Optical. Take a look at the cracks in my lenses ( looks nice don't ya think? ). I received a $45 refund for my lenses. Now I have to go elsewhere and get new glasses because you guys are poor in customer service. I was told to pick plastic frames because it might happen again. I should be able to pick what frames I want. I called your customer support twice and they set me up with a incident report and all they did is forward my call to the East Washington location who did absolutely nothing. Told me I had to say I would never come back to Stanton again. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Your right about 1 thing I would never come back to Stanton and my review speaks for itself ( look at my glasses)"
"I ordered glasses in late December and have still not received them. The process of buying them was not easy either as they were labeled as cheaper than what they rang up for. I thought I was buying a $79 pair of glasses but they were $199 instead. The color coding system doesn’t make sense as the colors don’t match from the glasses to the chart. Just label them with the price. I also felt as though i had no time to pick my glasses as I was being rushed to check out since they are so understaffed. This waiting game is very upsetting since there has been no explanation for the delay in glasses. They have been delayed 3 times now. I thought I was going to get a good deal and experience here but I don’t intend to return after paying extraordinarily more than I wanted and then not even getting them on time."
