"Doesn't have time for questions and is NOT a warm friendly surgeon. If that's what you need he is not a good fit. Is he the best peds Ortho surgeon in Madison? Yes hands down but I know he hasn't been nice, compassionateor courteous to my family in ANY way at all. I'm worried I made a bad choice not getting a second opinion and just trustingly accepting this surgeons medical opinion. When I asked how i could tell my son had a disease and not a bone injury he said "I just know" and gave me a dirty look. I have also heard he treats his staff just as good as his patients...which is not good at all! Dread needing this guy as part of my kids care team"
"Excellent surgeon & physician. All 3 of my kids have been a patient over the years and he has gone above and beyond to be in depth explaining in a way they would understand and be comfortable with. He has great patience with my one son who has severe anxiety. Appointments have ran long at times but completely understandable given his patient load and given that it is a teaching program. 10 out 10 would recommend."
"We went to see Dr Noonan for a consult for my special needs son. We arrived ahead of our appointment at 1130. Appointment was 1150. After seeing a nurse at about 12 we were told he was running 20 minutes behind. We didn't see Dr Noonan until 1:20, an hour and a half late. There was a visit by a student, but nothing but more health history questions. When the dr finally arrived he didn't mention his lateness. So I asked him why we were sitting there for so long, he stated his partner left. Well unless he left that morning, we should have been notified. He became indignant at that point and said the best place for us is shriners in chicago. He didn't look at my son and he definitely didn't like being called out. I asked him about the surgery he stated I should talk to shriners. This went from missing a little work over lunch to taking a half day off. My boss is upset, my day was ruined, wages lost, my son and his mother drove from rockford, 6 hours gone. All he had to do was pick up the phone. All this is going on and he's got 4 staff twiddling their thumbs, because one could keep up with the pace. On his way out the door he had the audacity to say that he did not want to waste our time?? Please do yourself a favor a go see someone else, I guarantee he will not care."
"Remarkable treatment for my son 12 years ago who is still doing well today! Top notch surgeon who cares about his patients."
