Point Isabel Dog Park is a popular 23-acre park located at 2701 Isabel Street, Richmond, California, offering stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Marin County, and Brooks Island. With an additional 20 acres at North Point Isabel across the Hoffman Channel, the park boasts over 2.5 miles of the San Francisco Bay Trail. A unique feature of this park is the special rules allowing dogs to be off-leash, under voice control, throughout the park.

Recent soil testing detected lead in specific areas around the perimeter of the north side of the park, which are fenced off for safety. The Park District is working on a plan to restore these areas. Visitors can enjoy bird-watching, fishing, jogging, biking, kite flying, windsurfing, kayaking, and picnicking at the park.

Wheelchair accessible parking, trails, and restrooms are available, and the park is a designated San Francisco Bay Water Trail trail-head. Dogs must be kept on a leash in parking lots and streets, but can be off-leash within the park under voice control.

Mudpuppy's Tub & Scrub offers dog washing and retail services, while the Sit & Stay Cafe provides treats for both dogs and their owners. A State fishing license is required for shore fishing, where anglers can try for striped bass, surf perch, sturgeon, shark, and flounder. Visitors can reach the park by taking Central Avenue west to Isabel Street or Rydin Road from I-580 or I-80.

"Great dog park. Large area where you can let your dog off leash and walk/run/play fetch with it. (I’m guessing there’s a little under an acre) This is great if your dog is socialized with one caveat — most of the park is fenced but the entryways to the parking lots aren’t , so you may want to keep your dog on least if it’s an “escape artist” or avoid it if your dog is antisocial (because other dogs *will* approach, generally out of curiosity.) Beautiful views of the Bay with SF and the Bay Bridge in the distance."

"This place is amazing and I am so glad I found it. My puppy loved it, I loved it. There’s an awesome cafe and dog groomer on available when you’re walking in or leaving to the parking area which is great for a coffee before hand and then if your pup gets dirty playing or just needs a bath, you can get that done before heading home with your fur ball. There is a TON of space, lots of unleashed dogs and just overall this place was heavenly. We didn’t come across any unfriendly dogs, we played catch with his ball, we people watched, he chased dogs around and rough housed with them a bit. I will def be back!"
