"It says a lot about a company when a federal judge says your management has no credibility! People should keep that in mind when looking for employment or looking to use you to haul their freight."
"Drivers aren't courteous on road truck 30 pulling trailer 5312 cut me off and ddnt have a seal on the trailer and I know it was loaded because there was milk leaking out of it and per fed judge management has extreme callous disregard for protected activity."
"Blue Northern is a OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, FDA, DWD and DNR regulatory disaster all rolled into one. Don't risk your career here. The lead manager was promoted from a driver at 22 years old after getting a 18 over the limit speeding ticket, rupturing a gas line at an elementary school that forced a full evacuation and running into a window at a Dollar General. Speed over safety is why drivers have crashed into houses from the highway and roll trucks over on county roads. Safety and DOT regulations are nonexistent at this place. Shorting paychecks is also a common occurrence here. The owner doesn't like to pay overtime so when you do work overtime you better count your hours. I was let go from this company the day after the following trailer was fixed and billed to BND as seen in photos below. It had several separate Out Of Service violations as seen on the invoice and I was forced out because I had the nerve to force the owner to fix it. If this review is untrue either sue me or shut up BND. I have documentation to back up my review and most other reviews posted by others and I will be posting those documents with a new website detailing our story that will be posted in the future."
"The owner allows management to get away with calling drivers and their spouses the worst derogatory names and will punish those who screenshot these texts to show him. The owner got physical with me in front of other people and hired a registered child predator for school milk delivery routes and made him our manager. My worst experience here was being forced to deliver milk in a dry van trailer with a non working refrigeration unit for an entire summer. The milk went bad after getting to over 80 degrees and the schools and stores called Dean Foods to complain. I was told to back up the owner who lied his way out of the situation to Dean Foods. After the investigation, Dean Foods was convinced they left cleaning chemicals in the milk lines at the dairy plant in Woodbury. Blue Northern threw the employees of Dean Foods under the bus to cover up for their own FDA violations by not delivering milk in a clean and refrigerated trailer. This place will risk it all just to save a dollar. I was so embarrassed having to face the students everyday who were worried about bad milk. I have all of this documented as well so I cannot be sued."
"Blue Northern is Nepotism at a whole new level of bad with management being all family and drivers being treated as second class citizens. Management spies on you on their phones with the driver facing ELD cameras constantly. You get a different truck and route everyday because the owner says he doesn't want any driver getting comfortable, nothing like sharing a truck with 30 others who pass gas and pick their nose and leave the evidence behind. I've been hauling food for 20 years and the way this distributer handles food is a FDA violation everywhere you look. Dirty trailers, outdated food in close proximity to the fresh food and refuses to seal loaded trailers even when sitting in isolated parking lots 48 hours. I'll be letting Kemp's, Prairie Farms and our schools and stores know what really goes on here. My advice to all who deal with Blue Northern is to temp the milk and inspect the trailers."
