Reviews
"I reported a dog that was abandoned. To my surprise, Long Beach Animal Care was very responsive; they even had him checked out by a veterinarian. I went to check up on the dog a few days later and he was well cared for and he looked so much better than when I found him. The staff was attentive and cheerful. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a dog or cat."
"The post would be a 5 star. But after taking the adopted dog, have to the vet, I found out it has Guardia. I think you follow up test after she had it in the Facility would have been warranted. Now I have to go through four hundred dollars worth of tests and medician to treat both of my dogs"
"Read some comments here and wondered what were facts in context of the interim director taking over after Staycee Dains went to City of LA Animal Services Department. I just called to be told that LBACS was never a no kill shelter. The officer speculated that the no kill is SPCA LA on that campus, but the building next door. I also learned that they cycle through foster coordinators about every 2 to 3 months."
"I foster kittens from here and most everybody that works or volunteers here that I've come in contact with seems passionate about their mission. Their mission to love and protect animals , to get animals into loving homes. I commend them for trying so hard at a vicious cycle where so many people dump their animals for as little reasons as not wanting them any more. So keep up the good work. I'm proud of all of you at the long beach animal shelter."
