"I had a garage door installed 10/2022 by Portal Garage door. When we had a power outage the backup battery did not work and I was not able to get the garage door open manually either. The technician who came charged for what he said was a "stuck" door. The door was working perfectly before the power outage. I asked why the back-up battery did not work to open the garage, only to be told that the door got stuck. When I asked why I was charged for a equipment failure I was told by the technician that they always charge for everything. So they do not guarantee that the door will work beyond the day they install it. I asked that the owner call me to discuss why I was charged for something that should have been under warranty. I never received call from the owner or a response to the email I sent asking about the charge. Don't count on this company to stand by the product they install. If you have an emergency and the backup battery does not work they will charge you to fix what should have worked."
