"Both my children are patients of Dr Wu. She’s nice, thorough and pretty straightforward which I appreciate. When she’s not available we sometimes see Dr. Chon and Dr. Simona which are both very nice. I would just make sure you have a list of all your questions before being seen because they can be a busy office and will be on to the next patient if you’re not prepared. I actually just took my daughter this week because she was having severe tummy problems and Dr. Simona checked her for uti, explained a few causes and options and gave her a prescription. But the real MVP’s at this office are the nurses, especially Maria! I called a couple days later because my daughter was still having some pain and Maria talked me through it, explained side effects, what to expect and even recommended foods to help and avoid till she recovers. Sure enough, she was right about everything. She totally saved us a trip to the dr office or urgent care. I am so happy I switched to Whittier Pediatric Group from my old altamed office that took forever to even get an appointment or speak to someone. I only took 1 star off because they’re a little old school when it comes to paperwork. They don’t have an app or portal to access patients visits, information and lab results. But I guess you can always just call and ask them if they can make copies of anything needed."
"Mother of 5 and all my Children are dedicated patients of Dr. Wu. Over 8 years coming to this family friendly clinic and we will continue to do so. Over the years we’ve moved and now our commute is nearly 2hrs but refuse to switch provider/doctor. The entire staff is very welcoming, and the best part is the staff remembering your child by name. Dr. Wu is my favorite, she goes into extreme detail when explaining anything that has to do with my child, her years of experience truly show. Patty is also very helpful and kind. She is definitely my go to when I have questions and concerns of my child. Maria is a great MA, my kiddos are actually not scared of getting vaccines because of her, she has her way of making them feel comfortable and gives them the giggles. The front desk receptionist Vanessa makes booking appointments extremely easy. No hassle, she truly try’s to work with your schedule and always greets you with a smile from ear to ear. Denise is part of the billing dept. but still leaves her desk to help in any which way that she can. There’s been times where the front desk has been unattended for a couple minutes and Denise will ask right away “How can I help you?” This just goes to show that the entire staff works as a team, doesn’t matter what their title is they are there to help. Thank you Whittier pediatric group, for all your great years of experience, we appreciate you all!"

"Im so disappointed here. they don't know about insurance and they lack problem solving skills. they want me to call insurance and check the insurances status and pcp. so i called to insurance and they said "nothing problem with your plan, but they need to call to us because something problem with them" so i called to office and supervisor who can billing she said "we can not check dr's name on insurance portal sites" so i said "you need call to them because they said you can not check sites" but she said "you don't know im billing we can check on portal" I know you guys can check on portal site but!!! at this time insurance said you guys need to call to them and fix dr & office information!! but she said "listen be carefully i can not check your insurance but your kids sick so they can come today but you can not come like this later" what?????? i went here almost 2year and i happy with dr. chon and nurse but how can they don't want to try to solving problems and they talk to me like this. so i'm so mad. i wanna attach image our communication with insurance but i can not upload. so i will write here insurance message. [They have no active contacts with us at this time to be listed as a PCP. he would have to changes his information and obtain a contract before he could be assigned. i apologize they were rude to you. the problem is on their end not you end. the plan is still active and there is nothing wrong with your plan]"
"Dr. Chon was highly recommended by the hospital I gave birth at, so we felt lucky that this was where our insurance assigned us. Unfortunately, we never got to meet him. We did, however, meet Dr. (NP) Simona and Dr. Pardo. The 1st visit with each of them was pleasant. Subsequent visits only left us feeling uncomfortable and a bit angry. First Dr. Simona was really great and seemed like a good fit. But then she became pushy about our newborns weight and wanting us to give her formula. After several visits with her we opted to see Dr. Pardo instead. He was fine. But we scheduled our baby's 4 mo visit more than 7 weeks in advance only to be called 2 days before to try to get us to come in earlier because he had double booked himself. We specifically made the appointment for the time we did because it best fits my husband's working schedule so we could both be present for our baby's visits. We went in at the scheduled time and despite Dr. Pardo apparently having somewhere else he needed to be, still waited. Long story short, we disagreed about following the vaccination schedule we had previously discussed with Dr. Simona (Delaying ONE of the five vaccinations by 3 weeks), and he told us to find a new doctor as he would no longer split vaccines. He gave various reasons but most interestingly was that we may find it difficult to keep track of when vaccinations are due if we do not keep the recommended schedule. INCREDIBLY ironic when he tried to get us to bump up our appointment because he couldnt manage his own schedule. It made no sense to me that he took such an issue with a schedule already in practice and was pushing to give the 5th vaccine 3 weeks early. Because we declined to do so, he dropped my baby as a patient. Then, after the appointment, I wanted to ask the nurse if we'd still be able to at least get the delayed vaccine in 3 weeks time, when it's due, and from then on find a new doctor for her 6 month vaccines. I was waiting at the front desk and was approached by another nurse. I didn't catch her name, but she was an older woman... sounded like she'd been a heavy smoker...asked my question and was met with extreme rudeness and attitude. She repeated that the doctor would no longer be splitting vaccines. That didn't answer my question, so I persisted until she nastily snapped "You need to find another doctor." What a gross attitude for someone who works around children. I imagine she frightens many of their patients. But I digress... After this encounter, I am grateful to no longer have to deal with this office. It's just a shame I never got to experience the excellence I was told practiced here."
