"If there is negative ratings I would have rated -10. We visited him multiple times but impression is same. In a first visit we felt he is rude but we thought everyone goes through a bad day so benefit of doubt. Second and third time he was rude(as usual) and he doesn’t have empathy for sick kids, he doesn’t have time to listen what they are going through. First quality of doctor should be empathy but he is opposite to the word. I’m so disappointed and angry that we ran into this guy and Kaiser doesn’t have any appointments with other doctors when we really need. My son had fever of 103 and higher consistently, chills , runny nose with ear infection and doctor doesn’t acknowledge it’s an issue and ran away saying “Give Tylenol”."

"We had a e-visit with this doctor for my son. My son has been sick with flu symptoms 104 degree F temperature, terrible cough and difficulty breathing for over a month. It gets better and then it worsens. He had no empathy and was in a rush to end the call after telling us you have what thousands of other people have and unfortunately it can take a long time to recover. When I asked him to order some tests for flu and RSV and a chest X- ray to rule out complications he was dismissive and lectured me that some people have a fascination with getting tests done and he did not think it was needed but if I insisted we can get the tests done. Before I could ask about sore throat he said have a good day and hung up. The video visit lasted less than 5 minutes in total."

"We have been seeing Dr. Purdy for several years. He's great with kids and takes his time to answer all my questions. He really has a fantastic way of making the kids feel comfortable and takes great care of them!"

"Dr Purdy always listens to our concerns and gives very detailed advices and explanations. For example, when my son had an ear infection my husband was worried it can be caused by bacteria from runny nose, but Dr. Purdy explained that EI occurs only if an eustachian tube gets inflamed and closes airways to the inner ear. He showed us some images and was very patient with us. He provides us with translations since English is not our first language and shows our son cartoons when he's nervous. So again, he takes out concerns very seriously, almost too much so. I complained about my son throwing tantrums and he asked if I wanted to consult a psychiatrist about it. He didn't push it in any way, and I was glad he suggested it."
