"Rates are too expensive, incompetent Dr., and his Helper took a leak in the middle of my Driveway. so in February, 2018 my mare cut her leg on a fence or something, I called Dr. Hunter, he came out to the ranch gave her antibiotics and wrapped up the wound, charged me $515, now its the end of April, and the wound has not healed, i called the Dr. and he came out to again for the second time, while at the front gate of my property, his female helper or girl friend decided to squat and take a leak right in the middle of my driveway. He then claimed the wound is not healing because of scar tissue, Rely? he suggested that he cut the scar tissue so that the wound will heal better, it is common sense that you will expose the animal to further infection. so i refused his suggestion, gave him his $200 for nothing ranch call, and will never call him again."
"I had the vet come out for our sheep to give them all shots and to give one a check up that was sick. When I first talked to Maureen that answered the phone I told her I've never had live stock before or a vet to come out so didn't know what to expect or do. she assured me they would come out and take care of catching them and giving the shots etc. I told her we were on 4.5 acres and they were in a pin of like 3 acres of it. I said I had called around and was told by others they rope them and she said yes our doc will catch them I said okay. Maureen also told me that it would be 60 bucks for the house call and shots were 25 dollars and exams were 75 per sheep if they all needed to be looked at. I stated I only needed one looked at at this time but that all needed shots and dewormer. Come to find out it was different price entirely. She is so inexperienced it's not even funny. I would have fired her if she worked for my company being so inexperienced. The appointment was set for 2pm the vet didn't show up until 2:15pm this was already a strike one for me. Then I tried to help the vet round up the sheep by offering feed to them they obviously knew something was up. The vet didn't even know how to rope he just held the loop out hoping they would walk through it like really? If you don't know how to get livestock then bring someone with more experience and common sense who does. Let me remind you all that he does have a person that works for him that does rope but he failed to bring her with him why IDK? So since he could only get one of my sleep thanks to me running after them for an hour by myself no thanks to any of his inexperienced staff or him. I was told I should have had them in a small confined area so they could give them shots etc. I told the vet if Maureen would have told me this then I would have done that. He went on to tell me it's common sense and that I should have had enough to know this. First of all you don't speak to customers like this ever! There is some common sense for you second you should have had enough common sense to hire a lady that was properly trained to tell customers in great detail that it should be in a 8x8 pin or 10x10 or whatever. Second you should have enough common sense to know how to rope and realize the livestock won't just sit there still for you. Like really?come on dude get over yourself you should know this. Third I was charged way different then I was told by Maureen there was other fees added for when he actually comes out and spends time per hour that she also failed to mention. When I explained what she told me he was very rude and said exact words "I don't care what she told you your going to pay it anyways" talk about one of the rudest older guys and vets ever. I don't want him working on my animals! who would want someone so unknowledagble and rude and uncaring too? Not me. It disgusts me that he is after the money only and tried to write it up on paperwork as exam for his time spent out there watching me try to round up my own sheep. This guy is a fraud and his people are not trained very well either especially the office people answering phones they will tell you one thing and when he arrives he will tell you another because he is greedy and wants all money. He does not care for your animals. He also wanted to charge me full price for another visit since he couldn't rope. I said well that's not my problem and if I would have known you couldn't rope and if your people would have told me I needed them in a smaller area when she knew how big of an area they were in then I would have done that and not been charged again. He obviously didn't care. Luckily, I have people in my family who know how to give shots, and now I know what to give them so I won't be contacting this ungreatful, disrespectful, and unknowledagble company again. People stay away if you care for your animals that are livestock. I just hope they have the smaller animal vets that are better. May god have mercy on your souls I will prey for you guys."
"We are so fortunate to have Dr. Hunter and his staff out here in Wilton!"
"Shout out to Bob Hunter and his staff! They are wonderful, our mare had a tumor in her hoof. After numerous visits with other vets, and farriers he is the one who figured out what was going on. She is doing great thanks to his diagnoses. Highly recommend him and his facility. Happy Trails! T.M."
