"I brought my dog to Vetco to get DA2PP and Bordetella vaccination. Linda S assisted me with the check-in process. About 15 minutes later they called my dog's name and asked me to bring the dog for vaccine. After that's done, they gave me a receipt and asked me to pay at the front desk. I realized that the name on the receipt wasn't my dog's name and the price was also not what I expected. Then I asked Linda what vaccine they gave to my dog. She said: "Rabies and Bordetella. Right?" Turned out she completely mixed up my dog with another dog. This is a medical malpractice. My dog had already had two rabies vaccines prior to this and she should not have a third one this early (She is only a bit over one year old). Linda didn't seem to care and just replied: "It has already been given to your dog, the vaccine will be washed off soon and you should not be worried about this. It's a long day today..." Yes it's a long day but that should not be your excuse for making simple mistake like this. If you are not competent then don't take the job offer. Customers should not be the ones that pay for your mistake. She offered me free rabies shot (Of course I shouldn't be paying for the vaccine I wasn't intended to give to my dog) and 50% off of the rest of the vaccine. I asked her to write a brief note about what happened today and sign her name. But she refused to sign and said it's her personal signature so that she cannot give it to me. Imagine if wrong medication or vaccines were given to the wrong patient, it could be fatal. And they just offer you 50% off of the price as compensation. Please double check the vaccination/medication you furry babies will receive because not all vet techs are as competent as you thought."
"Had a bad experience!"
