"I have been brining all my dogs to this Vet for YEARS and this place definitely started going down hill after covid hit. I would not recommend taking your pets here to this Vet. The only thing they are good for is giving vaccines. I brought in my dog recently due to him being ill and upon arrive the staff were extremely rude. When I asked them questions they seemed annoyed. Why work in a customer facing role if you can’t even be nice ? My appointment was at 12:30 , arrived 15 mins early, and they didn’t take my pooch in till 1:00pm. Super unorganized. The Vet herself I think her name was Daisy lacked compassion towards the situation and was quick to offer other treatment (X Rays) which were over $200. We ultimately decided to give him medication (over $200) which then the pharmacist gave us EXPIRED medication which caused us to have to make another inconvenient trip back to the VET. They told us the results to his stool sample would take 2-5 days it’s now the 8th day. I received a call from them but I am working and they left no voicemail. I called back and Sally the front desk receptionist stated they have no notes or record on file of them calling me and is unable to assist . She didn’t even try to ask the Vet Tech or Vet on my file to see if they called instead was told to just wait for another call … I’ve been waiting for over 8 days ?! This place is a joke and all they care about is taking money out of your pocket."
"WOW. Just WOW. I called in this morning and the woman who answered the phone had me explain my situation to her but she apparently wasn’t listening at all because when I had finished explaining she said “what’s that” so I repeated myself very clearly and she then cut me off and put me on hold (I understand it’s probably busy) So she gets back on the phone and I finish explaining myself for the second time and I tell her I need to make the appointment and she brings up my name and sees another of my pets which is a completely different species and asks “now what can we do for him” I was not about to explain myself for a third time. I don’t know if she was trying to multitask or something but I knew for a fact she did not care one bit about my situation and the lack of not only competence but professionalism is very disturbing. After this interaction I am way too scared to ever take any of my pets there. Whomever answered my call for emergency care this morning needs some serious training."
"First of all let me start by saying this place was the place to go to before the pandemic. This place was known to help community cats and now it seems no matter how much money you spent on getting them spayed and neutered & vaccinated …. They are treated horribly with no respect. Two weeks ago @ approximately 7am I took in a feral cat to be spayed and l decided to call in around 2:30 pm to check on her. I couldn’t believe what I heard. “ They said they couldn’t do her surgery until the following day” I asked if they were going to feed her and they didn’t respond. I was so upset and disappointed that 1 I rescheduled her prior to this appointment because last time I was told she would be staying overnight because she wouldn’t be getting her surgery and I didn’t feel comfortable doing that so I was given a different appointment which was when all went down hill . I was upset because I was off work and thought they understood that I wanted her to be spayed. The cat was in a trap and I didn’t want to have to take her out of the trap because of their lack of communication. I was never told that she would be treated with no respect and with no care. No matter how much money you spent on community cats ….. these people treat them horribly. You could give them $600 and they don’t care because as long they are getting paid that’s all they care about. Please if you are out there doing TNR ….. please don’t expect these people to care. Tiffany the manager is a dishonest individual. Tiffany admitted that her employees made a boo-boo by not communicating how they treat TNR cats by not getting them spayed on the day of the appointment. I was upset with most of them because of the lack of communication. Within 1 year they went from $35 to $100 for fixing cats and pretend they care about the abandoned cats on the streets, and now they are charging nearly $200. Money is not the issue, just the unprofessionalism. I apologize for being frustrated with their lack of professionalism. I told Tiffany and the staff that I needed to pick up the cat because she wasn’t staying overnight & then we talked for a while thinking we had an understanding….. I was being cordial with Tiffany. Especially on our last conversation and I asked her if we can reschedule the appointment for the cat and she came up with. “ Let me check the schedule and I’ll call you back” It has been a whole two weeks and received no call from her. I even left her a message and nothing. That shows me her unprofessional side and how dishonest she really is with the clients. My suggestion to you is stay away from this hospital. It’s now under new management and owners and they are all about the money and could careless about any animal. And people wonder why there’s so many unfixed cats in these streets. So disappointed."
"Last Monday my husband and I had to make the most hardest decision of our lives. We had to say goodbye to our beautiful almost 16 year old dog, Zoey. The staff at Monte Vista Animal Hospital made this process as comfortable as possible. The entire process was handled with care. Yesterday, I received a hand written card of condolences from the staff and it meant a lot to me. On the front was an image of a border collie that looked exactly like my beautiful girl. I’d like to thank the staff for making this process comfortable. Thank you for handling this matter with respect and dignity. I will forever miss my girl Zoey ❤️"
"I’ve been going here for years. Never had a bad experience. However, when I made appointments earlier in the week I was told they changed owners and now must charge $25 dollars for a canceled appointment if not done 24 hours in advance. Ok I get that. I fell ill on Wednesday but made it to my appointment Thursday. I wasn’t to sick and I figured I’d mostly be in the car. I woke up this morning to dizzy to even walk so I called to cancel my other appointment this afternoon. I can barely speak and I’m obviously sick. I understood there would be a $25 dollars charge but I was then told you just wait in your car. I told her no I’m going to have to reschedule then she informs me no you can’t do that it’s still a $25 dollar charge to reschedule…yea I figured that would be the case I’m just trying to get off the phone with you because talking hurts!!! In all honesty I am always there for my appointment. They should give grace and allow you 1 cancellation in less than 24hours within 1 calendar year. I understand why a vet would make a rule like this but they should rethink a policy that allows you to cancel for emergencies. I think I’m going to call around and see about taking my fur baby’s somewhere with a bit more compassion."
